Default Week 2 Weigh In - 427 to 417

Today was my 2nd official weigh in and I'm down 10 pounds (417). I was kinda disappointed in myself this weekend because I made some bad choices, which made me miss my goal by 1.5 pounds, but overall, I'm very excited that the weight is coming off.

Congratulations! That's a wonderful start and the a significant weight loss. Yes, you'll make some bad decisions along the way, and this probably won't be the only day that it occurs. I had a bad decision day yesterday. But today is a new day. You're taking the right steps, and that's the thing on which to focus.

Thanks for the encouragement. I was looking at your mini goals and we have some of the same. LOL. We went to Outback on Friday and it was a tight squeeze in the booth, and it was sort of embarrassing. I decided that I'm not going back until I lose about 30 - 40 more pounds and fit.

I call the Elliptical my "Arch Nemesis" because of my first experience on it a few years back. I have moved up to 25 minutes by adding 5 minutes per week. This is the start of my 3rd week, so next week, hopefully I can reach the 30 minute mark. I find that if I can just reach the half way point to each 5 minute mark, I can push through it. Today I did 1.27 miles on it. Never in a million years thought I'd last that long. You can definitely do it. Just try to push yourself an additional 2.5 - 5 minutes every week and you'll definitely get there. Now that I've reached 25 minutes, I don't start to feel it until about 20 minutes in and I feel like I have a sudden burst of energy or 2nd wind during that last minute or so.

Your final goal is exactly the same as mine. I want to buy clothes off the regular rack as well. They are much cheaper and the selections are usually bigger and better.
