Default Quitting smoking HELP!

I plan on starting my plan on December 15, and today, I decided to begin getting the three day hump associated with quitting smoking over with by the day I start my lifestyle change. I am SO terrified that it's physically impossible to not smoke and lose weight at the same time. However, when I smoke, I can't exercise as well because I get out of breath. I lost thirty pounds 2 years ago, started smoking and GAINED 50. I'm now the heaviest I've ever been in my life. I have a wedding to go to in August, so putting this off to quit smoking isn't really an option.

Has anyone successfully quit smoking and lost weight at the same time? Or am I in over my head?

I read somewhere that it's easier to quit when you're also trying to lose weight. I have no idea where I read it or what the explanation was, though. I suppose maybe because you're already focused on one goal, you can use that on the other one, too? My english isn't good enough for this, sorry.

I stopped smoking last May, but it was easy because I got an e-cigarette. I get the nicotine (although it's lower now), I get to keep the habit, so I'm not afraid I will end up smoking to replacing it and I've even replaced coke with it because my e-liquid tastes almost like it, lol. Have you ever thought about getting one?

I smoked 18 years, quit and didnt gain anything BUT I didnt replace the cigatettes with food. Yes, it's possible to quit and lose but it takes work.

I can't afford one, but I didn't smoke all too long (two years), so I'm just going to try to focus on NOT eating to replace the habit. I bought tons of gum, hope it helps. Thanks guys : )

I actually quit smoking the week before I started on this journey. I replaced the smoking with food, but HEALTHY food. I actually eat so much more now. I eat a small, healthy snack every 30 min to 1 hr. I've lost 17 lbs and 4 pant sizes since quitting smoking. I replaced one habit with a better one.

I quit smoking right in the middle of my weight loss. I used the nicorette lozenges though. They worked. It didn't affect my weight loss at all.

I quit with an ecig as well. The initial investment can be steep but it's actually cheaper than smoking or gum. My starter kit was about $50. Now I spend about $25/month.
