Default new here-hello

Hello-

I just wanted to introduce myself and say hello! I just found this site the other day and have been reading some of this forum and would love to join in! I have been procrastinating about getting started (again) on my weight loss journey, but really need to get a fresh start!

There is so much to read and so much good information that I feel a little lost, so bear with me. some info on me:

I am 32 (almost 33-ack)
I am a mostly stay at home mom to two beautiful girls, age 2 and (almost) 6 (double ack)
I have a wonderful husband who works too hard and we don't get to spend enough time together

I have battled my weight for my whole life. I do NOT want this to be the defining characteristic of my life! I was "thin" just before I got pregnant with my older daughter and then I quit smoking and let the weight just pile on-and have been moving steadily upward since then. Still not smoking, but I substituted one bad habit with another!

I will weigh myself tomorrow morning! Have a great day everyone!

Hi Rosie,

I'm also a thrity-two year old mom. I've always battled my weight. There was an all too brief period where I was almost happy with my weight. Then I quit smoking and got pregnant.

Anyway, everyone seems very supportive out here.

Good Luck!

Default thanks!

Thanks for all the warm welcomes! I am trying to formulate my plan of action! I have done WW in the past and still have all the stuff, so I think I will work around that program to start. Plus, I think the WW program is the way actual thin people eat. Like, if I eat ice cream one night, I think-well, might as well just eat whatever I want the next day. A thin person would just eat the ice cream and then go back to regular life the next day-does that make sense??

Anyway, I know most of my issues are emotional and I am going to address them this time, which I haven't done in the past. It's pretty complicated once you start really thinking about why you do things-you know? I am happy with myself this morning because I sat down and ate breakfast with my daughters-usually I skip it and just drink coffee. It was nice having a meal with them and allowing myself to eat.

Well, I only have a few minutes so I am off to read some more!
