Default 6 week challenge!

Hey, does anyone want to do this with me?

I am hovering around 150 and just can't seem to move down... usually I don't like to give myself time frames but in 6 weeks I am going home and see my parents for the first time since Christmas as well as my former dance friends for the first time in 18 months and I would like to be as thin as possible and impress them all.

Up to now I was doing this the "simple" way, less shitty food and more exercise, but not going to any extreme lengths, for these 6 weeks, I would like to add some more exercise and eat "cleaner". Just be the best I can be for 6 weeks, basically.

I am planning on running 30 minutes before work (I am not into running, but kind of dream of running a half marathon at some point, maybe next spring) and doing some conditioning for maybe 15-20 mins. My usual work out is gymnastics 2-3 days a week (2 hours) and trampolining once a week(also 2 hours), I will try to keep that up.

So who wants to do this with me? I would like to have some buddies to share it with, to whinge and to share successes on the way and in 6 weeks it is thanksgiving for the Americans here, so maybe also a family gathering, parties etc...

My starting weight is 150 (ish) and my goal is around 138 so 12ish pounds which is 2 pounds a week (and therefore should be doable).
Let the games begin!!

I'll be happy to do this with you!

Today I decided to go a little harder for the next 12 or so weeks because I'm seeing family around Christmas and I want there to be a noticeable difference in my weight as well.

I am 194lbs and I want to lose about 2lbs per week if possible. I count calories and I also track my burned calories daily. Currently I am doing cardio to burn a lot of calories and strength training to tone up.

My goal is to stick to my allotted calories each day and workout in the AM and PM to burn 500 calories per day.

When do you want to start?

I'ma do this too, although I already watch what I eat and run 5 days a week. I guess I could throw in some weight training, and maybe run a little longer but less intense. I haven't been calorie counting exact amounts, but I've been rounding or guestimating to a moderately high amount.
I'm gonna see my robotics team again in January, and I at least want to slim down enough to feel comfortable in certain clothes that I want to wear. I want to be at least under 200 by the end of the month.
Let's do it!

I am in, I'm 15lbs over my ideal 2 years ago weight.

My main problem is the late night hungers that leads to over snacking / eating.

Anyone have suggestions on what to do?

I've been stuck between 150.0 and 150.2 it seems for the last few days so I think this mini challenge will be perfect. I don't celebrate any of those holidays.

I'd also love to be 137/138 by mid next month:-)

I'm in. My goal is to do better on the weekends. I am good all week and the weekend and drinking come and the plan is out the window and all my hard work during the week is out.
I exercise each morning during the week but need to get my butt of the couch in the evening and start exercising about 3 nights a week. Adding in some heavier lifting and body resistance exercises.
My goal is to be at 155 in 6 weeks. That is about 1.5 loss per week.

Good morning ladies!

I am starting today! I plan on eating 1500 calories and burning 500 calories. I am currently doing walking (walk away the pounds) for exercise, so my goal today is to walk 5 miles and do 30 minutes of Pilates for toning.

I'm pretty excited about this challenge, It will be great to see the results of our hard work in only a few weeks!

My scales broke (timely fashion!), but I am happy to weigh in on mondays, sounds like a good start to the week... or a little push for a good week work out!
I have been doing really badly for the past 3 days (a lot of food!), but I will get my act together, yey!!

So glad so many are joining in, it will be a fun ride!

I ate a lot yesterday (approx 3000 calories), which is the most I've ate in a long time. I still feel full from yesterday so I haven't ate yet today. I'm going to leave for the gym in a few hours.

I'm in another challenge I started and our weigh in days are also Monday. So this works great.

I'll join you! 2 pounds a week would put me at goal, so that's what I'm shooting for!
