It took me about 15 months in total to lose 65lb. I joined WW in Jan 2011 after losing 10lb myself and lost another 55lb by Feb 2012.

Joined a gym in September 2011. Started counting calories February 3, 2012. I've currently lost 32 lbs. in just over 4 months.

I never, ever thought I'd stick with it, but when the weight starts coming off, it is great motivation!

December 2010-end of May 2011 I lost around 50 lbs. Maintained with minor fluctuations until about a month ago when I restarted my diet, and now I am probably going to go about 2 more weeks of dieting before I hop on the scale and start to measure my progress with numbers again.

I am around 160-165 now, and my goal in-between goal is 145 . Ultimate goal is 135.

I am almost 1/3 of the way to goal and I've lost 21lbs in 2 months.

Congrats on your 7lb loss!

I started in July 2011 and lost 60 pounds by the end of the year. Since January, I've lost another 25 - a much slower pace, but I'm not so hungry all the time. I'd like to lose another 20 over the next 5-6 months.

Good work, and good luck!

Going from 240lbs to 204lbs took about 5 months after giving birth to my daughter BUT then I stopped exercising and eating well and got up to 225lbs (well, highest measured weight, who knows exactly how high I was). Going from 225lbs to 156lbs has been almost 2 years now. Definitely not slow weight loss but it worked.

I've kind of been dragging my feet on further weight loss, I need to go ahead and finish it (at least get to 150lbs so I'm within a healthy BMI with a bit of padding).

June 2011 I started at 180 and by February 2012 I was down to 130
Then I fell off the wagon and gained 20lbs pushing me back to 150.
Have been back on plan for 4 days now though

Here it is, but it's also in my signature.

Changed how I ate and joined a gym on 1-13-11 at 252 pounds.
Lost 90 pounds by 11-5-11 (38 weeks) and have been maintaining at 162 since then. I've stayed within about 5 pounds for 8 months.

Good luck to you. And please don't compare your progress to anyone else's. I, for example, live alone and have no one to distract me. My time is mostly my own, so I could go to the gym whenever I wanted. And I could eat the food I wanted without having to think about having stuff in the house for anyone else.

Good luck. You'll do this. Success isn't measured in time. It's measured by how you just keep on going, even when it's difficult.

I started middle of January, 2012 and I am down 46 pounds. I feel like it should be more but I keep getting stuck and bouncing between the same numbers for about a month or so before it goes down again

I know what you mean and I have wondered the same thing myself. So, I eventually added it in my signature
I have lost 56 pounds since January 6th.

It took me 1 year from Jan. 2011 to Jan. 2012 to lose what is on my ticker. I've had 2 month long plateaus last summer and a big whoosh late last year. Right now, while I'd like ot lose another 10 lbs, I'm essentially 'maintaining'.

My whole life? haha no...

I've yoyo-ed a TON previously, unsuccessfully. I started being successful in 2005. So I'll start there.

2005- 267+ lbs to 180ish lbs. That took me almost 2 years. I kept that weight off until 2007 when I got pregnant with my daughter.

2008- My post pregnancy weight settled in the 230s this time. (pregnancy and nursing are awful to me). It took me about 2 years to get back into the 180's AGAIN. I maintained for about a year and now I'm back to get these last few off.

So yeah, in reality... a lifetime . It doesn't matter. The trend is down/maintan... so I'll take it!!! I'm in no insane hurry.
