Default Dang you, Sonic!

So I got off work and I was hungry and I had a good little chunk of calories left, so I thought "Now is the perfect time to treat myself to a Sonic milkshake!" Only to find out when I got home that no, no it wasn't!

Beware people, the SMALL milkshakes are at least 600 calories. DON'T DO IT!! I thought it might be 3 or 400 at the most, but good lord! I know I won't be having a milkshake again for awhile -- at least not unless I make it myself!

WOW! That's terrible!! I Have not craved a milkshake in a long time but I do crave blizzards, mcflurrys, and such. thanks for the heads up. I just saw a sonic commercial for their new "Hey batter batter!" ice cream thing (brownie batter and chocolate chip cookie bits) and wanted it so bad, thank the lord my nearest and only sonic in my area is about a 20 min drive lol which conveniently is right next to an In-N-Out lol for once I'm glad I live in a rural area LOL

ROFL! I can't help but laugh!! BTDT!

I know!! I was shocked at how many calories are actually in a Starbucks mocha, or a Starbucks muffin, or a single Subway cookie....

No, never trust a milk shake. Ever!

Lol!! At least you learned!

I'm so glad I live somewhere where calorie counts are required to be on the menus.

I think all fast-food milkshakes are horrendously full of calories. They're one of the worst things you can have.

I love the Ghiradelli chocolate bars, but even when I have calories to spend, I think of how much more I could have of other things besides the 450 calories one of those calorie-bloated bars chews up.

And you think the Sonic milkshake is bad..... Look at this info:

A Cold Stone PB&C milkshake made with peanut butter, chocolate ice cream and milk, contains 2,010 calories -- equivalent to eating 68 strips of bacon or 30 chocolate chip cookies -- and has topped a list of the 20 worst drinks in America compiled by Men's Health magazine.

I have only lived in places where they play the Sonic commercial but there is NO sonic in the entire state. My whole life has been a Sonic tease (the food doesn't lure me enough to take a road trip, but the ads DO look good). Effffff

Luckily my experiences with Sonic was awful food-wise (their breakfast burritos, texas toast sandwiches, tater tots undercooked, ice cream taste funny etcetc.) Except for their burgers- these were okay but most of the time it was for "hangover-cures", . The nearest one is like 20 minutes away from me, SO not worth it.

I hate Sonic food, seriously... hate it. But I love their drinks. If I go I get a Diet Coke with diet cherry flavor added or vanilla. Unfortunately their vanilla flavor doesn't come in a SF variety but it still only sets me back about 70 calories.

Side note: DH wanted a snack the other day and got a small order of tater tots. Those suckers were drenched in salt and grease. By the time he got home it was soaked through the cardboard tot container and the bag. He had to check and make sure it didn't leak through to his seat. Needless to say, he hasn't had Sonic food since.

Milk shakes are caloric bombs, but they're so delicious! I'm craving one right now actually. If you make it yourself you can definitely lower the amount of calories in it, by using skim milk, not adding any sugar, using more fruit etc.

You think Sonic is bad? Check out the calories in a DQ Blizzard or shake. You're staring at close to 1000 calories for some of the larger (but not the largest) sizes if memory serves me correctly.

I live shakes, but they are diet killers

Milk shakes are pretty much the most calorie dense foods in existence!! I remember being completely shocked after eating a tiny Blizzard. I haven't had one since! I can think of about 80 things I'd rather eat for that many calories!
