Exclamation Apitite in need of change

Hi, I am a new member here. I'm a 14 and 1/2 yr old girl who weighs 209 lbs. I am 5 ft 7in and growing, and I do have quite a bit of muscle mass, but I am extremely overweight. I wasn't properly trained on the right diet when i was little, so I have a poor diet now. But it is progressing. I don't drink pop and stay away from obviously bad foods. But I can't seem to get myself to eat fruits and veggies alone. Like in order for me to consume them I must put them in a juicer or chug water in order to swallow. I don't eat salads or anything like that. the Only fruit I can seem to eat on my own is bananas, and only minimal veggies like broccoli, peas, and corn. I seriously need to change my taste, but I am having difficulties. Any advice?

You don't necessarily need to eat vegetable and fruits alone. For fruits, try to make fruit salad with greek yogurt, add raisins etc. Make it tasty!

Same goes for veggies, you can make salads, frittatas, omelettes and stuff them with vegetable. Make your own custom taco/tortillas with more vegetable etc. Variation is the key.

There are lots of ways to sneak veggies in your food. You could go the route of eating things like stir frys if that's something you might like. Or you could flat out completely hide veggies. There's a cookbook called Deceptively Delicious that has a lot of recipes that have pureed veggies in and you can't even taste them.
