Candeka - that sounds like an amazing idea for me. and maybe it'll get my weight loss moving faster. i really do feel like my body adjusts to things way too fast. are there any good websites that help track your weekly average or do you just keep a journal?
LockItUp - the way your eating is my ultimate goal but its not possible for me to eat totally fresh like that. i'm at college, i have no car, and the food I buy has to last me about 2 weeks. Plus I'm on a budget lol. I'm sure the processed food I'm eating are NOT helping at all. I try to get frozen veggies. I figure that's better than nothing.
LandonsBaby - its super annoying! its like I've defeated the battle of making myself eat healthier and not indulging in sweets and things and then its like my body is trying to sabotage me! lol
If you are active at all, 1200 is probably too low. I think I agree with the above, see a doc?
I walk to class 4 days a week but that's really all I do. If I work out one day I try to eat an approx. amount of calories to the number I burned so that it evens out to 1,200.
Sorry, I am unsure of any websites. I use an app on my phone even though it is not capable of cycling. It tells me to eat 1470 a day, but I will just go "over" on my higher days and be under on my lower days. I am still able to accurately track with it though so you can probably do it with any calorie site. You'd just need to know how many calories you are supposed to eat that day. Maybe a piece of paper on the fridge or somewhere handy.
Also, do not feel bad about frozen vegetables. Sometimes they have even more nutrients than the "fresh" stuff you get at the store since they are flash frozen right after being picked as opposed to being shipped across the country. I also understand the college budget thing. I just finished my first year of University and being this broke SUCKS.
I eat frozen veggies too, and we are most definitely on a budget!!! I have to feed myself, a husband, a 3 year old, plus formula for my 4 month old on a very strict budget. I do get the college thing though. I lived in a dorm for a year and all we had was a mini fridge, that doesn't store too much!
I thought of one more question about calorie cycling for Candeka or anyone else who knows about it. Do you typically include exercise? Like if I eat 1,200 and burn 300 that day do I effectively count that day as 900?
