Default Anyone else have a problem with sodium?

I swear, I am ALWAYS going over on my sodium intake! It doesn't even seem like I'm eating foods that are all that "bad", they just have so much freakin' sodium. It's so hard to avoid, especially since at the moment, the majority of my meals come from my school cafeteria, which is probably a sodium mine in itself. How is a good way to conquer this without having to force myself to eat salad every day?

If I don't do all my meals from scratch I will get 150-220% of recommended sodium for the day. Anything processed has too much sodium.

I def. can't have canned soups or anything like that because any amount of salt or sodium shows up on me the next morning and I am extremely swollen. I also do not add any salt when I cook for or after it's done, my family has to add it on their own.

Sodium is the devil. I'm extremely salt sensitive, so even a little causes my fingers to swell like crazy. The amount of water I have to drink to balance things out is insane.

Any chance you can prepare and bring your own lunch to school????? That's what I HAD to start doing when I was in school because I literally had NO idea how many calories, salt and fat I was really taking in..... I eat a lot of WRAPS for lunch AND dinner--I start with a low fat, low carb and low calorie tortilla and then fill it with lean deli meats and cheese, tuna, grilled chicken with grilled vegetables, and sometimes I make burittos with ground turkey or grilled shrimp. When I season ground turkey or shrimp for burritos I use the low sodium taco seasoning and only use a couple of teaspoons.
