So it's around midnight, I was done eating at about 8:00, worked out around 10ish for 40 minutes, and now I'm hungry again. I'm no where near my calorie limit (MyFitnessPal gives me 1920, I'm at like 1500 something), but I can't help that feeling of "God, I'm such a fat***" for eating once I've closed my food journal for the day. How do y'all battle that feeling? Do you just drink another glass of water and call it a day, or what?
If the tummy growls are keeping you awake and you have room in your calorie budget -- stop fighting low blood sugar. Get a hardboiled egg and a cheese stick or something with protein like that, some tea or water. Eat it, then go to sleep.
And note what you have learned. "If I exercise at 10 PM I get hungry later."
Change the workout time to BEFORE dinner. See how that works out. Or just plan for the postworkout snack in your calorie budget if that's the best time you have for workout.
But don't talk to yourself like that! Calling yourself names is helpful how? Instead give yourself the high 5 for workout and staying in calorie budget. It's your budget. You ARE allowed to spend it.
I do try to work out before dinner time, but today that wasn't really possible and I couldn't really work out until my dad went to bed because what I wanted to do required the TV. Tomorrow will be a different day, hopefully.
Would a yogurt be a good idea? That's what I usually go for during these times cause they're not so calorie dense (I go for Dannon Light 'n Fit cause they're only 80 calories) and they have a bit of protein.

You know what? Lol, I've decided I'm just going to bed because in the time that I've spent sitting here pondering "Should I get something to eat?" 45 minutes have gone by, so that obviously means that I don't really need something to eat right now. Go me for telling the voice to shut up!
Good for you! That is awesome! In the future, one yogurt won't kill you, but I would go for a greek yogurt if possible (I think it's 100 calories but it has more protein and just seems more filling and nutritious).
I tend to get a little shaky if I'm really REALLY hungry before bed, so I have either a small glass of juice (grape juice) so I don't get the shakes as I drift off to sleep (if I've cleaned my teeth already), and if I haven't yet cleaned my teeth, I'll have a bit of low fat natural yogurt - and depending on my sugar craving, I may sweeten with a teaspoon of honey and cinnamon. I'll only serve it in a small ramekin dish though, and no seconds.
Bedtimes have always been hard for me. I have always been a night person. The closer it gets to bedtime if my stomach starts rumbling I go for a bottle of water, it normally stops the hunger pains long enough for me to fall asleep. I use crystal light packets so they have some flavor, so if I am also having a sweet tooth, it will help ease that as well.
