  • Quote: Lockitup - you're a rock star. Just saying.
    Thanks so much!!!
  • I have a two-part goal, first part is weightloss (of course!) which has been happening every week, some weeks better than others. The second part for this challenge is to walk 4-5 times a week. This seems to be the harder part for me! I get so busy that i just dont feel like it and want to nap instead. BUT, this week i rocked it! I found a bike/walking trail close to home and I walked it to the end, walked around a neighborhood, and walked it all the way back home on Tuesday. I walked for over 2 hours at a 2 mph pace. Today I walked the same trail from my starting point, to where it ends, and back. I walked for 75 minutes at a 3 mph pace ITS A START!!!
  • Way to go Lockitup, Dcapulet, DaugT and UnderTheMoon.

I have been doing good this week working out and longing calories so I'm hoping for a pound or two weight loss for my weigh in tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a great day!
  • The good: A bunch of people have asked me if I have lost weight recently.
    The bad: Scales still stuck.
The ugly: I went in for a doctor's appointment yesterday (reviewing an MRI they asked me to get a couple weeks ago) and was told I have to have surgery on the 26th and --if it goes well--be on crutches for 2 weeks and in recovery for a couple months after that. If it goes badly, they wake me up and tell me I have cancer and they might have to amputate! Eek. Thankfully they say it's very rare and probably all the biopsies will be benign and they'll just take everything out. So am going with that. But, whole thing is really putting this in perspective.
  • July - to you! I really hope everything goes well with your surgery. Sending love and good wishes your way!!

    SW - 242
    Last week - 235.5
    CW - 232.5 (-9.5 total)
  • wow, firefly, talk about a lot to take in!! Very relieved to hear that cancer is a very rare possibility! Please keep us updated on how you are doing through it all.
This weightloss thing is tough enough without having a major health issue getting in the way as well.
Many positive thoughts for you that you have as quick and smooth a recovery from the surgery as possible!
  • I weighed in this morning and am 1# lighter. The scale hasn't moved in a while so I won't complain that it wasn't more. I worked every day this week and logged all my food and can definitely see where I need to improve. Next week will be better.

julyfirefly- Will be praying your surgery goes well and that they don't find any cancer.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!
  • Congrats on the pound, chick!! Must feel great to finally see the numbers move!

  • Way to go on the weight loss UnderTheMoon and Rose426. You both rock!
  • Thank you everyone! So frustrating to be waylaid mid-challenge, but at least I am in relatively good health going into the surgery, so it was not all for naught. And I'm going to keep going to the gym right up to surgery since the condition isn't particularly painful for now. After that, it will be back to the pool. Yay to seeing the scale move ladies!!
  • Congrats Moon and Rose!! You guys are both doing so awesome!!! I think I'm going to throw a party when I'm in the 180's!! LOL!!

julyfirefly Sounds like you're in great spirits and have a great plan to keep things going as best you can with the cruddy hand you've been dealt.

Down 2 pounds this week and feeling good. My cravings have diminished SOO much!! They honestly used to control me, I could not function until I fed that craving. So It feels good to be the one in control over them. Hoping it stays that way!
Really hoping to pull a 3 this week... this is my one 'cycle not screwing up the numbers' week... so gotta take advantage. LOL
Been keeping up with my Zumba, dance class, and have done 8 days of the 30 day shred so far.
DH and I had a date this weekend, and it felt great to check out the menu beforehand, figure out all the calories, and go in knowing what to order, and what I was getting myself into, we even included sharing a dessert! YEY!
