I have fallen victim to this same coupon.

Yes it gets easier as you build new habits. However if you don't build new habits it won't get easier. I'd suggest you go throw away the Oreos. Like right now. Toss them. Clearly at this point you can't be tempted. It's one thing to have a cookie or two but six shows you should simply not have them in the house.

Granted - six Oreos isn't going to change anyone's life but the general rule for any kind of processed snack is their designed to make you want more. Eating one just makes you want two. Two makes you want to have four. I generally cannot eat less than eight if I have one. I've been at this for three years too! For me it is much easier to not have any than to just have one. Maybe you're like me.

I know, I hate when I fall victim to sweets, which happens pretty often to be honest - I bought a bag of chocolate flipz pretzels to have one or two when a craving hits and I had 14 yesterday....whoops.

I think it's ok to beat yourself up, but for a min or two and then MOVE ON...you can't undo what you did, but you can work to not do it again. Plus, it's 6 oreos, not 60 - keep it in perspective - if you eliminate everything you like, it's going to be 10X harder to stick to your plan. You ate 6 oreos, ok, no big deal - just eat less at your next meal, take an extra long walk outside, etc. etc. You'll be ok.

Yeah I had a fun size milky way last night...now I feel horrible about myself and got up this morning looking at my body to see where I gained. But it's like my sister said, every now and then if you get a craving just do it (but don't go overboard), otherwise it will get worse. That's my first candy bar in almost 3 weeks so I see it as progress because I used to have one everyday.

Take it easy on yourself girl! Moderation is key and don't feel bad about your body and looking to see where you gained! It's not going to show up that fast, besides you have to eat 3500cals over your limit to gain 1 pound!! So chill....get back on track, be kind to yourself, stop your negative talk and tell yourself how amazing you have have done in 3 weeks!!!! Don't use the junk food as a reward but at least your on the right track so keep it up!

Yeah I just feel bad because it's only been 3 weeks and I feel like I haven't lost anything. My face is thinner and my stomache isn't a "bubbly". I ordered a scale a couple of days ago so I can stop driving myself crazy about not losing anything. I'm proud of myself because I stopped drinking sodas and eating candy. Like kprincess45 I'm just like really, why did I do that!

Scales don't tell the whole truth! Look at my siggy pic....3 months the scale hasn't moved, if I went by that alone I probably would have caved by now. And trust me I haven't been 100% on plan since I started. We eat out on weekends still, I partied and drank too....but I made changes that accomodated my calorie intake when I did drink or eat out....remember it's a lifestyle your changing, how your presently eating can you live with it for the rest of your life? I LOVE food, heck last week we ordered pizza, I had 2 slices and a salad instead of 6 slices and garlic bread! LOL Small changes and portion size count, so it's ok to slip, just keep yourself in check and if you are noticing changes in your body but the scale doesn't reflect it then take pictures and measurements! The scale doesn't tell it all!!! I swear to you it doesn't!

I find that Reeses Puffs cereal is REALLY good for a chocolate craving!! I eat it w/ skim when I'm craving chocolate & it's awesome -the other awesome one is edy's slow churned mint chip iced cream - 1/2 c. on a sugar cone is really filling & less than 200 cals!

i've been buying just bars of plain dark chocolate for when i have a sweets/chocolate craving. i can have just one serving (2/3 squares) and be totally fine with it. so i'm amazed at that. and i've been buying a brand called "simply lite", so its even better.

Yes it gets easier as you build new habits.
This is so true. It's a new habit we're building. I used to think of myself being on a "diet", so in my mind I was subconsciously thinking that when I reached my goal, I'd be "done." But I've actually entered a new lifestyle and way of eating that won't be significantly changed WHEN I've reached my goal.

It's hard with kids, too. I try and buy goodies that I'm not particularly fond of. That way, I'm not nearly as tempted as if I, say, brought home some M&Ms.
