I think that dropping lbs is more important to me right now than building muscle.
It's an individual choice, of course, but building muscle helps burn more calories, so in the end you *are* dropping more weight faster by weight training. I'm not a huge fan of weight training, but I suck it up and do it three times a week anyway because I know it helps. And I think I probably would have gained back more weight than I did if I hadn't kept up with the strength training the whole time I was slacking on diet/cardio.
this too - Yes, my dad is like that too! He always loves to keep the fridge and cupboards full of food because he didn't have that growing up. I mean, he buys a lot of fruits and vegetables too so I have no excuses. lol :|
I like to think I can be in the 190s in two months!

ETA: I just calorie count and do cardio when I can. I don't need to weight train because I already have A LOT of muscle mass. I really have no idea why. I once had a trainer who made me weight lift and I was seriously jacked in two months time. It's good to be muscular but I don't want to look like a body builder- in fact he told me I have the composition to be one (I'm female btw!). Didn't know how to take that, haha. So anyway, I got sidetracked there, but the point is, not everything works the same for everyone and I don't care if people think I'm doing it wrong by not weight training.

Yeah, I know the whole muscle burns more.. over time. I just need to have faster results now.. kwim? And I tend to put off my ST more than I put off my cardio. I'm having DH put my elliptical together on Sunday, so on Monday I plan to start elliptical-ing 4 times a week and only ST'ing 2 times. Being less sore will help me too.. Because OW, lol.
Meh. I wish this was easier like it was when i was in the 270's, lol.. just eating better and walking and the pounds melted off, LOL. SIGH.
