Yup...when i discovered almonds, i pretty much binged on them for a year straight. Now i can handle them because i finally got over them. I'd advise just not buying them if you can't handle them.

I have to count out my almonds, then put the rest away or I will mindlessly eat half a can or bag of them.

I LOVE almonds and cashews (& cheetos, but that's another story altogether) I had to buy the 100 calorie pouches of almonds it makes it easier. Maybe go for a walk?

Try natural almond they are SO MUCH BETTER than salted one ! I personnally divise my almonds in portions
because I would definetly eat all of the bag. At 7 calories each it goes up pretty fast haha.

Try pistachios (I prefer the salted one personnally) in shells, it takes so much time to take them out
of the shell that it's impossible to binge on haha.

Another vote for portion controlling the nuts. I have to do that too. And if you can't control binges, pour some dish soap on the junk food!

I love the 100 calorie pack of dark chocolate dusted almonds. Takes care of my sweet tooth, and the fat content in the almonds keeps me satiated.

Been there done that. I was feeling like I needed more protein in my diet so I bought a big bag of Costco almonds. I think it's like 4 lbs or so. They are so good. You need to dole them out to yourself and keep track of how many you are eating. Eat them 1 at a time, not by the handful. I get the ones that are for baking- no salt or anything else but still so good

Whatever you do, just do not ROAST your almonds. They become inhumanly possible to resist!

Almonds are used as a medicine in some countries.
If you eat 2-4 almonds after every meal you will not get acid indigestion.
Save your almonds as a natural remedy for acid reflux.

Buy the plain almonds...no salt , no flavorings and no sugar. Otherwise you will eat too many of them.

And plain raw or roasted cashew nuts are used to stop cavities and gum disease. Eat just 2-4 of them after every meal also. Chew the nuts very well.

Don't give up on nuts because they contain a lot of calories. Add a few of them to your diet to be healthier. Just don't get carried away with them.

oh honey, if you ate as much as you said you did in your OP, don't excuse all 5 of those pounds on water... 2 or 3 "might" be the real McCoy!

Almonds were my downfall last week. I bought some of the chocolate dusted almonds and ate way too much. No more almonds this week.
The week before that it was cheese that was my downfall. So, what is it going to be this week?

Hon, you are SABOTAGING yourself! You need to ask yourself why. It isn't just that SALTED nuts are addictive; never buy "salted" nuts or junkies. Only buy UNsalted ones, and if you cannot stop yourself from overeating them, then you shouldn't buy them at all.

And, what about the ice cream and grape soda pop? Why did you buy them? Now, I can limit myself to 1/2 cup of yogurt ice cream (I have Lacto-intol); but again, if that serving isn't enuff, then it's another trigger food for you.

OK, I'll say it -- THROW THEM AWAY, NOW!!! Fix this now, so you don't gain anymore weight back, cuz you'll regret it severely.
