Hello all! Sorry I'm late, sick baby yet again. I swear, my other two were never sick like this one. Sounds like everyone had a great week! I think it's because spring is finally coming and we're all feeling motivated! I know that is so for me. 73 today!!!! It was 23 a week ago. I'm reporting a 2 pound loss this week. I'm so psyched!! I've already reached my goal for this challenge.:) I haven't met my goal for the last three.:( I've been walking my little feet off. The last two days I've done my usual 4 on the treadmill in the morning and then later went to the park and did another 3-4. My feet are feeling it now so I'm going to skip the treadmill this morning. I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!! TTFN,

Monday Check In

Good Morning everybody!! I am hear for my Monday morning check in, sorry I am late every week, but I don't have access to a computer on Saturday since mine at home died so I depend on my computer here at work.

I can't believe it I am down 1 lb this week!!! What a surprise because TOM is here and I had a goof or two this past week, nothing to terrible but I did go over my goal of 1200 cals per day on a couple of days. My total loss for this challenge is 6 lbs, so two more to go! I think I can!!

Thanks to each and everyone of you that has sent good wishes for my MIL, unfortunately I don't have any good news, she is still in ICU! She is the "same" according to the doctors.

Congrats to everyone that has had a loss!

Have a good day!!

Paula

Wooooo-Hoooooo Serina and Paula. Awesome job on the losses!

Serina, I've been walking my feet off too--trying to trim down other body parts as well  . Hope your baby gets better soon.

Paula, my MIL was in the hospital for 2 weeks not too long ago. One of her bonehead drs. prescribed different meds which were NOT supposed to be taken at the same time, at all. It caused a major disruption in her stomach and made her lose 35 lbs in a month! Not the way I would want to lose weight OR my life.
Hope they find out what's wrong w/your MIL so they can treat her accordingly and get her back home. Stay strong.

Everyone else, 1 more week of this challenge. Let's make it a great one.

Hello everyone. My computer was being repaired so I was without for a whole week! And we ended up buying a new computer anyway. It just wasnn't worth the $ to repair when we could get a much better computer for a good price. Plus we have DSL. Wheee! This is going to save me SO MUCH time.
Anyway, while my computer was down and out, so was I. I went through a mini depression last week. I just couldn't motivate myself to do anything. I'm feeling better now and hopefully this will be a good week!
My mom broke her leg in Jan and she's been in a rehab/therapy clinic ever since. She developed a uninary tract infection and was readmitted to the hospital. (She had a stroke last year and is on medication to prevent seizures.) When she went back to the hospital her prescription was not transferred properly and she was only getting half her dose and had a seizure. Fortunatly she is fine and actually didn't even know it happened. But it could have been worse and it could happen to someone else who isn't so lucky. Scary, isn't it?

Hello all. My computer was also down Friday and Saturday. I also was down because I saw a gain on the scale. Up 2.5 lbs! I felt like I was doing well. We did go out to eat, and each time I cut my portions in half. What I had didn't seem so fattening either. I don't understand. I refuse to give up, but I feel like I am getting nowhere. I'm going to have to sit down and rethink, replan, remotivate. Ug. Trying to hang in there!
Congrats to all you losers!
I wish health for everyones families.
Jen

Ciao Ladies,

Wow, a lot of action these days on the forum. Good to see. Well if you all have been keeping up with the news, you know that things are a little hectic for us soldiers, thus my lack of posting. But i just wanted everyone ( who remembers me, HI ANGIE, GEN, CHOCI, JEN, LANEY, APPLE and all the newbies) that I'm okay but I will not be able to post as often as I would like.

But here's a weight loss tip , stress can really melt pounds like you wouldn't belive!! :)

Anyway, good luck and stay healthy and pray for our troops. As for this troop, I'll be sure and peek in whenever possible.

Many prayers go out to you Dips...keep yourself safe. May the Angels bring you all back home to your loved ones safely.

Kisses & Hugs,
Kina

Hi Dips! I hope you are doing okay. I want to thank you for all that you do for us. If it weren't for all of you guys standing up for us lord knows what kind of life we would all have. I will be praying for all of you to return home safe and sound. You Rock!

Apple Blossom 03-19-2003 01:45 AM

Dips....this is the second time I've read your message and the second time I've sat in front of the computer at a loss for words. I only hope you are home safe SOON. And thanks.

Ciao Ladies,

Wow, I'm so moved reading your emails of support. Thank you Ladies. Me and my unit are very greatful for the support we're getting from back home. We feel the love all the way from here.

Fortunately I will be able to peek in every once and again so make sure when I come we have good news and success stories to share.

PAULA welcome to the forum and thank you for your support. Stay focused and continue to pray for us.

But just to let everyone know WE ARE THE BEST AND STRONGEST MILITARY IN THE WORLD AND WE ARE READY!! So rest assured that you can still cheer us on from the gym :). Freedom is a beautiful thing. Enjoy it!

To Dips and all our Troops out there

Dips , I just got on this morning and read your post . I don't even know what to say except thanks for what you folks do for this country. I know I personally am guilty for taking my freedom for granted on several occasions. I was born and raised in the U.S. so I dont know any other way of life. My best friend in the world is Cuban and through her I've been able to experience what no freedom feels like.Being told what to say, what time to be home, getting rediculous ration ports of food for the month, eating boiled cabbage and white rice for dinner night after night, being told what to say or do at all times, what music you can listen to,having to hide in a dark basement just to pray .... I could go on and on about what No freedom is . She was jailed in her teenage years for basically not agreeing with "the rules" that Castro made up. I cannot even imagine not being able to drive,to speak my mind,to be submissive all the time.....
I'm not the only one that thinks that you people in the military DON'T get paid enough for what you do!!!!! Risking your lives is worth more than $15-$30K a year. I know that so many of you don't do it for the money and that is something to be admired.
Dips , you are in our prayers along with all the troops out there. We pray for all the soldiers safe return home.

Gen

Dips,

I am more affected by the war now that it is in motion than I ever thought I would be. I don't exactly agree with the politics, but I do appreciate your efforts and wish you and your fellow troops only the best, Godspeed.

I love your go get 'em attitude!

Best regards,

Amy

Thanks for the reassurance Dips. I feel like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders. God Bless and Godspeed to all in the military who are truly serving us now. FREEDOM is a beautiful thing.
