S**t happens , but dont give up!

I'll be back later on tonight ladies. I just wanted to tell you not to give up! There will be weeks when you just maintain and you want to pull your hair out! But your body is still burning calories and will adjust itself and the pounds will slowly come off.
A lot of people quit if they see they are maintaining for 1-2 straight months. I would get frustrated but I'm so glad I didnt totally quit!

Congrats to all your losers!
be back later!

I'm back to where I started, 262. But, I really think that last week's loss was kind of "faux" due to drinking and not much eating the day before... and like I said, I had TOM this week. It's been soooo rough. I had another bad eating day. I don't know what's going on with me!

But I won't give up, I promise. Going back to how things used to be is not an option. It's just not. So I will trudge through the hard times and at the very least keep up the exercise (almost an hour's worth of Pilates this morning plus at least another hour's worth of housecleaning...).

Congrats to the losers this week. And to the others, well, HANG IN THERE!

Love you all...

Amy

I kind of missed yesterdays weigh in, sorry. I'll do it tomorrow.
I've got to get back the will power. It hasn't even been 2 weeks yet, and I feel like I'm losing it!
Gen-thanks for posting the goals. Maybe that will get my rear in gear.
I'm trying to hang in there! I have to get moving!
Jen

melekalikimaka 03-09-2003 05:17 PM

JLoubug...you can do it! You can you can you can. We all go through periods of 'why bother?' but just ride it out. You'll get back on the wagon--it'll never be that far off. You're still posting which means you still care. Don't give up hope because it IS worth it. Come on board, we're still cheering you on. A friend on another board made me a harness made from a bungee cord so if I fell off the wagon, it would snap me right back on  . Wasn't that nice of her? I think it's working too. Let's do it!

JLoubug 03-09-2003 05:43 PM

Thank you for the words of encouragement. Yes, I do still care!
I actually went and exercised. Now all those happy endorphens are running around my brain. Maybe that bungee cord snapped me back too. Thanks again, I really needed it!

Hi everyone

Hi everyone- just stopped in to say hello. I had a wonderful day. It was beautiful here today. I took advantage of it and went walking. I walked to our town park which is a little over a mile each way, so I got 2 1/4 miles in. It felt great! It's nice to finally see the grass again, that alone was worth the walk:)
Melekalikimaka- that bungee cord harness sounds like a great idea, I'll have to remember that next time I get discouraged:D
Jen- glad to hear the exercising helped you feel back on track. It's so easy to get discouraged sometimes. It's to bad we can't just snap our fingers and be at our goal weight- boy that would be great:)
Well I hope everyone has a great day. Take care. Di

Clarita 03-09-2003 09:38 PM

Missed weigh in yesterday. I am down 1lb which is remarkable considering how i nibbled on chocolate all week. Congrats to all the losers!

plb112467 03-10-2003 08:47 AM

I had a loss!

I weighed in at 208 this week! Down from last weeks 210. So down two lbs!!!

My MIL was moved back into ICU, we had a rough weekend!

Thanks everyone!!

Paula

angieME 03-10-2003 10:22 AM

Paula, I am sending good thoughts your way for your MIL. I hope she gets better soon. Congrats on the 2 pound loss! You are doing awesome especially with all the stress you must be under.

JLoubug 03-10-2003 04:54 PM

Well I checked the scale this morning. I am down 4 lbs. from last Saturday! I'm feeling it too. I actually put on some pants this morning that I haven't worn for a few months. Something is working! I think I'll go work out, again! Two days in a row! I'm a loser!!

I'm finally able to Post!!!!!!!!!

Hi all. I missed Saturday's weigh-in because I couldn't post! Sounds like we're all struggling, some with better results than others! Myself...I may have lost a pound, but my scale's not so good, so I'm calling it a maintain.
I don't know if anyone remembers...it was during the last challenge when I mentioned I wasn't getting my e-mail notifications? I thought it was all something to do with this sight and then I realized last week that my e-mailbox had been extremely quiet other than the occassional SPAM. I sent out an e-mail to several of my friends asking for a reply and got NO replies. A bit odd to say the least.
I made a new screen-name for myself and then (DUH) changed my profile on this sight to reflect the new name. I figured it was worth a try. Unfortunately, they then had to send me an e-mail to confirm the address I gave them and since I didn't get any e-mail at that address EITHER, I couldn't respond to it. Hence, my inability to post or PM or change my profile back... What a FRIGGIN' nightmare.
Anyway, glad to be here.

Jen519

Kempyd 03-12-2003 10:31 AM

This place has been pretty slow latly Jen. I am glad to see that you are back with us though.

I have deceided that I am not going to do the next challenge the same way as the other ones. I have had really good results but it is time to start working on the body fat. I am not to sure if I will make this challenge b/c we are going on vacation and I am not going to eat clean the entire time that I am there. I will let myself go a little. I think I am going to go for a body fat percentage loss instead. I have easy access to a anyliser so I will use it instead of the scale.

I hope all of you are doing ok. You all must be busy.

angieME 03-12-2003 11:28 AM

I hate it when the threads slow down too. I could just yap all day but there isn't anyone around. I hope evryone is doing great and losing all they want to. My period has left so hopefully I will show a good loss this week. I am so close to the size 10's that it hurts.

Kempy, I like your idea to measure body fat. I don't know if I would want to know how much of my body is fat though. I would probably have to cry.

Congrats Jen on the 4 pound loss!!! AWESOME JOB!!!!

Kempyd 03-12-2003 11:35 AM

Angie I am sure it isn't that bad. You have been doing some form of strength exercises havn't you? Every little bit helps. I wonder if there is a place in your town like a doctors office that would have skin fold callipers so you could get it checked. Is there a rehab facility close to you?
