Tina: PLEASE, PLEASE do not stop talking about what you love. It is part of what we are to not always be concentrating on weight, but to share our lives with each other too. You now have motor oil in your blood so love it and go with it! If I made you unhappy by my teasing, please forgive me. I would never ever do anything to hurt any of you ladies on purpose. I am just a big goof.

I am trying to help my sister get on a weight loss program and it is so hard. She has so much less to lose (around 40 lbs), but financially is really really strapped to buy things to eat. She is also on thyroid meds and is down because she is now sick all the time with headaches etc. I just want her to feel better especially about herself. She lives in California and we miss each other terribly. We lived in Indiana together for about 4 years and were inseparable. Our husbands are best friends and we hung out all the time. We worked at the same law firm, went to lunch together everyday, went to football games every Friday night during the high school season and she is now horribly miserable after moving back to Ca. I think she thought it was going to be sunshine and roses because all but one of her children live there as well as her two grandchildren, but the old saying you can't go back again applies here. They left Ca because the expense of the coast and taxes drove them into bankruptcy. They sold everything and moved to Indiana and then she decides she wants her dh to take a promotion that requires him to go back to Ca. She thinks she can pick up with old friends and have lots of time with the kids. Welllll, the kids (all grown) don't have time for her unless they want her to sit for them, and the friends have all moved on to other relationships. They are in a financial mess of their own doing again and she is lonely, depressed, and sick. I can only do so much over the phone or internet. We invited them to Vegas when we go for two days and we are footing the bill for everything just so we can see them. It just makes me feel bad to have her feel bad even if it is because she made some lousy decisions, you know? She is the only sibling I am close to. The other 2 are pains in the behind big time. Well, that is my sob story for the day.

I need to go get in the shower. I have the exercise sessions all done for the day so I am going to meet the dh at the door tonight looking presentable for once!

Angry Hi Chicky-doodles!

It's okay Kat, don't send out the troops! I'm here! Your suspicions are correct; I haven't been too "posty" lately but I definitely have not forgotten about all you chickies! Hope you guys are recovering from the storm. Yesterday when everywhere there was talk of the big snow storm, all I could think was "Man! I bet Kat is up to her eyeballs in snow!"

Thin: Speaking of snail mail, thanks for the V-day greeting! It arrived today and put a big smile on my face. Now... it's on my fridge door!

All is pretty well "even-steven" on the diet front. Splurged a bit this past weekend (I hosted a "girls-night-in" dinner party) but made up for in the last couple of days. I shouldn't REALLY take the credit for "making up for it" though--I'm just getting over 2 days of a stomach flu. Well... that's ONE way to lose it!

I have a couple of hours before my next piano students come so I think I'll spend some time checking out some low-fat recipes for chicken breast. Last time I used the Salsa and Pineapple Chicken recipe that someone here posted once. I thought it wasn't half bad and even hubby liked it!

Donna: I send you a PM...please read.

Dont you worry Sandy or anyone else, I will continue to express my feelings for Nascar and anyone else can express their feelings as well. Like I said, no one else has to like it just because I do, but if I pull a few over to the speed side, that will be fine with me. I love Nascar buddies!

I'm still at work and still busy, but I'll be back with a long post when I get home.

I didn't chicken out....I went to WI this morning. Even though I had 3 days of being a little , I still lost 1.4! Woo Hoo!!!

Check out the new stats ladies!

Hi everybody! Just checking in to see how the day is going for everyone.

Apparently, my little comment about this turning into a Nascar thread did not go over so well. I do apologize. I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. I love all of you guys no matter what your interests are. I personally like Little 'E' and Mikey Waltrup, just don't feel the need to talk about it all the time. I'll try to keep my mouth shut from now on.

Hope you all are having a great day. I'm trying to get some paperwork done and also trying to get some receipts together so DH can do the taxes.

See ya later.

Ok guys here's the deal! From now on, everyone can talk about anything they want and as much as they want. So that means that you cannot get sick of hearing what wonderful thing my gs has done lately or that I bought a new I LOVE LUCY trinket. We would be a terribly boring group if we all liked the same things. Being different gives us the opportunity to expand ourselves.

300's LEADERS AND SHAKERS!

Tina: You are in charge of keeping us up to date on the handsome though somewhat roguish Tony Stewart and Nascar in general.

Sandy: You are in charge of, um let's see, Sex. Yeah, that sounds good for you. A secondary job would be laundry expert.

Michelle and Susie: You are in charge of the little kids antics and advice seeing as how you have them and have to be experts!

Kat: We are going to obviously put you in charge of weather for the time being. Snow shoveling advice particularly.

Thin: I think you need to be our resident dance instructor. Teach us all to walz!

Sara: We should get you to be our music specialist. Who knows when we will need a pianist for anything!

2cute: We are going to let you handle investments. Anybody that loses only 20 bucks at the casino can be trusted with money.

Lucky: You are definitely in charge of undie thawing detail. You never know when one of us will need dry panties!

J-Ann: We have voted you turkey queen so unfortunately, you have to provide Thanksgiving dinner for everyone.

Mary: You are our #1 cheerleader. We don't have one of those yet!

Baylee: We recognize your talent with graphics and you are in charge of future art and decorations!

Oh, wait a minute, I forgot me! Ummmm, I guess Donna would be in charge of shoveling up the BS since I tend to throw it around more than anyone else.

Now, I hope this puts a smile and or laugh on everyone's face! If I forgot anyone, please excuse me. I tried to make sure everyone had an appropriate position on this thread!

Speaking of Taxes, remember I thought for sure dh and I would have to pay in this year? Well, last night dh was one sick puppy and that was our tax appointment day. So off I go to see Mr. Tax man, ends up we get back $92.05.....hurray, I know it's not much but tons better than paying in our hard earned money.

SEX????? Well ummmm, rrrrrrr, ahhhhhhh, let me see. I'm a little in that area. I tend to keep it in the bedroom. DH says we need to get a little experimental???LOL......but with kids, its hard to get to experimental. Okay now that I have given you way to much info, maybe someone else should be in charge of the Sex issues? Oh ****, lets all share the responsiblities!!!!

NOW LAUNDRY~~~~That I am so good at, I should have a degree. 1) Put everything in a basket (clothes, towels, whites, jeans, darks, whatever) 2) Take it to the washer and put it all in till you can't possibly fit one more sock in 3) Start the washer and wash everything in warm, that way if it was supposed to be on hot or cold you were only a little off 4) Bring another load to the washer and set it down, put the load in the dryer in a basket, and the load in washer into the dryer 5) Now heres the tricky part, ready for this..............make sure you grab the clothes you just took out of the dryer instead of the dirty ones and put them back into the washer and start the cycle. 6) Go upstairs or where ever it is you fold laundry and find out that OMG you are about to fold dirty clothes. Then have a nice big laugh!!!!

Do we need another Laundry expert? Maybe I need another job? I don't seem to be doing to well today?

________________________________________________
That all said~~~~~~~~~~~ I'm having a very very hungry day!! I had the soup for breakfast, then later I had a salad, then later for lunch a sandwich, then some popcorn then I was hungry again at 2:20 and opened a can of beets and ate those too. Now its 3:30 and I can't wait till supper time!!!!! Ever have those days!!!!!!!!!! I am downing water to beat all to try and fill up that space....I think its actually boredom and this darned old weather!!! I could be cleaning, but oh thats no fun and well its not too bad yet, I can still see the floor thats always a plus . Just gotta play dodge this and that with the toys in the livingroom, but hey, let the kids be kids and enjoy themselves, at least till you can't see the floor anymore then you say it's cleaning day only to start all over again the next day....

Hugs to you all!!!!!!!!!!

I do not know how long this post will be, seeing as dh is pestering me to death. Ever since I've moved the computer into the living room, he sits on it every free second! I don't know what in the world is the matter with me today.....I've run to the bathroom about 20 times! Well, maybe not 20 times, but quite a few.....(notice how I cleverly worked the number 20 in there) On that note, I'd like to say this, and then nothing else about it. I understand that some of you are not Nascar fans, and that is ok. I was not a fan at one time as well...
and that's ok. I don't expect you to be. It thrills this little heart of mine to have some of you talking about it to me, because I used to be the only one. We are all very different here, but that is why I love you all so much. Because we are different, yet at the same time, we are so much alike. I count on Thin to keep me updated on all the movies, whether they are good or bad so I'll know whether to watch them or not. I also count on her for sound advice, because she gives it to me straight. I count on Kat to kick my butt every now and again when I need it. I count on her also for her wonderful sense of humor. I count on Michelle to come up with awesome recipes and to inspire me with all her talk of school and test and papers....going back to school was always something I've wanted to do. I count on Mary to tell me what's going on at the library....she's a fellow southerner and that is a common bond we share. I'm also always interested in what her son is up to. I count on Lucky to keep me entertained. Well, not just to keep me entertained. Lucky is very precious to me. She is a wonderful person with a lightening fast wit...if I could just get her married off. Or at least get her a big and tasty. I count on sara for motivation. Well, I count on you all for motivation, but Sara is where I want to be and know that I WILL be one day. I count on J-ann to tell us those hilarious stories about the turkeys. They really crack me up. I am also happy that she turned on the race Sunday....we might just have lots to talk about. I count on Sandy to make me laugh. Her posts are always comical and she sounds so much like me on some things. I am so happy she joined our group. I count on Donna for so many things.....she has only been with us for a little while, but man, has she made an impression. Her stories are hilarious and she has a wit and caring that is amazing. I count on Duckie to be here!! That's right! I miss you. Just remember, we are ALWAYS here. And last but certainly not least, I count on 2cute for alot. Probably more than I should. Her generosity and caring nature has picked me up more times than I can count. I like to hear the stories about her children, and her mom and dad. I love hearing about all your lives. I like knowing all these things. These are things that I know in my heart and do not have to look up. These are things I know about my friends. These are things I treasure about my family. I do not know what I would do without any of you. That being said, I'm done for now....because dh is driving me nuts. I'm going to let him hog the puter for awhile, but....
I WILL BE BACK!

Unhappy I am slacking

Hi friends
I have not kept up with my goals, this is what's happened in the last 3 weeks.
First school started but I wasn't able to get my books until the last day of the week so for that weekend I was busy reading, the next week I had a late starting class and now I am unable to attend my weight loss support group.
My most stressful time was this weekend, my cousin(he also was my foster brother) died in a car accident last week. This story is sad but I've been kept myself together as best as I can, for my children and other young family members who were grieving. This young man was only 16. Here is a webpage in his honor.

How is my absolute favorite group of ladies tonight?

Joe Anne: I am so terribly sorry to hear about your loss. My prayers are with you and your family.

I just pm'd Tina regarding my husband and his stupidity tonight so I am a total grump now. Sometimes I truly wish you could marry something other then MEN!!! They can be such idgets some time. Sorry, that word is not in my spell check so I had to wing spelling it correctly! Boob, moron, idiot, numbskull, dope. Take your pick any would have fit my dh tonight. Say a little prayer that WW3 doesn't go off in our house. His stupid careless driving is costing us a bundle because he bent the front and back rims on our car when he wasn't watching and hit a huge pothole. OOOHHHH I just want to shoot him. Each rim is $300 + labor!

Well, I am terrible company as you can see so I had better get off for tonight, take 2 tylenolPM and dope myself to sleep.

I did have to reply to this from Tina:

PLEASE
