New Scale purchase suggestions.

  • I am in desperate need of a new scale. I have a digital one that's 6 years old. New battery but it still never gives me the same reading twice in a row. Jumping even 5-7lbs. It's currently reading (average) of 200. I also have an analog one that is even older. It's consistent and now reading 191. I really want to believe the 191, but it seems to good to be true!

So give me some suggestions on a good, reliable, scale.

    TIA!!
  • I have been incredibly happy with the Eatsmart bathroom scale I picked up from Amazon. I can step on it several times in a row and it will ALWAYS give me the same reading. So much so that I started to suspect it was just recalling my just-read weight from memory, so I picked up a 20lb kettle bell and stepped back on...perfectly accurate! And again when I put the weight down and weighed myself a moment later. Plus the numbers are big and bright and clear so you don't have to do scale acrobatics to figure out if that's a 0 or 8 lol

This is the one I have. Plus it looks really sleek and pretty
  • We were just talking about scales in a different thread. I ordered this scale from amazon and I love it. Same number every single time you step on. I wanted accurate and economical, and this scale is it!!!

ETA: I love this so much, that when my kitchen scale dies, I will buy an eat smart kitchen scale too!
Haha, just saw the post above, thats two for the eat smart scale!
  • I have a Weight Watchers digital scale that I bought on sale at Walmart for $15. It's working well for me and I get the same number every time I step on it.
  • I just got a basic Omron fat monitor scale and it's great. Accurate to 1/10th of a pound. It has a setting just to do weight, which is what I use it for mostly, and then a setting that also measures your fat percentage and your BMI. It seems to be very accurate.

  • I, too, have the eatsmart scale that I got on amazon, and I love it. It is spot on.
  • I'm SO glad to see this thread. I've begun to suspect my scale is a bit wonky as well. It's no longer consistent and tends to have me bouncing around quite a bit - which is somewhat my pattern but not to the extent that my scales seems to think it is. UGH!

I've changed the batteries and tried to be sure that it's always in the same spot on the bathroom floor but it's still kind of like going to Vegas - best two out of three wins!
