  • I would love to hear how everyone is doing it!!! I know that I soak up all the info I can. I would love to hear everyones tips on what works best for them. I know some are obvious, drink water exercise. But you may have some suggestions no one else does or we just need to be reminded of! Lets hear them gang!

    1. Eat salsa on anything and everything! (salad, potato ect...)

    2. Plan ahead, if you know you want that steak for dinner eat light for lunch and supper.

    3. Don't limit yourself so completely you go crazy. That brownie probably is worth that extra mile.

I look forward to hearing what you have to say!
  • 1. Strength training! (not just cardio)

    2. If you're tempted to eat something really terrible, make yourself eat it naked in front of a mirror.

    3. Eliminate fatty "extras" like butter, mayo, salad dressings, etc... & use healthy alternatives (like the previously mentioned Salsa). I LOVE balsamic vinegar, fresh herbs, good stone ground mustard, a few high quality olives smashed up to give a sandwich a little zing, Tatziki (sp?) which is a cucumber yogurt dip/dressing/spread, & fat free cottage cheese.

    4. Bring on the beans! black beans, pinto beans, kidney beans, garbonzo beans, you name it, I eat it! High in fiber, good source of protein, filling & tasty!
  • Great Ideas Genesis! I like the eating in nude one LOL!!
I thought of another one. To drink more water fill up a water bottle. It should be at least two glasses. I find I drink a lot more! Keep them coming ladies!

I think the strength training thing is a great idea. Try to do some reading about lifting weights on the internet. I have learned a lot about it over the last couple of weeks. Those muscles really burn the fat off.

As for trying not to go to the fridge or the pantry... hmmm, I am still trying to figure that out.

Planning is one thing, make sure that you know what you are having for your next meal or snack, then you won't be starving and have potential to eat something quick and not so good for you.

Stay busy... keep you mind off of it. If you start to crave something think of something to get you busy.

These aren't the greatest tips, but they might help.
  • I have a toy piggy that oinks when the fridge is opened.
  • I plan my menus the day before. It's not written in stone necessarily, it's just a plan so you won't have a last minute--i'm starving feeding frenzy. And tons of fruits and vegetables!
  • Great idea Genesis, I wonder what my husband will think when he finds me eating naked in front of the mirror!

Here are some other things that help me:
In the morning, take all your fruit allowances for the day, make a fruit salad and put it in the fridge. Use this to snack on all day, it will really help with the munchie problem.
Also fat free hot chocolate for those chocolate cravings (a diet saver for chocoholics!)
Also to help cut out the 'fatty' butter/margarine issue, use some kind of powdered butter substitute. When you need a more liquidy buttter (like for a baked potato), mix the powder with a little hot water, mix and pour over the food. This really does work even tho it sounds disgusting.
  • I drink Green Tea. It speeds up your metabolism and makes you feel full.
  • OH YAH, fiber in your diet is important. Multi Vitamens..... AND Water , Water , Water and more Water.
