Appleby's is supposed to have lower fat food and Olive garden. I have been checking out websights to see which restaurants I can eat at.

Hmmm, if Rick wanted to eat out I'd be at a sushi restaurant for sure. I can eat it everyday and for a while there I actually was. Fresh raw fish is a big thing in Hawaii since it's so plentiful. We also cut it up into bite-sized chunks, mix it w/a little sesame oil or soy sauce with round onion, sesame seeds, chili pepper and fresh seaweed--it's called poke (pronounced poh-keh) .

We don't have an Applebee's or an Olive Garden here or on any island for that matter. A few years back there may have been one on Maui, but I don't think it's there anymore (if there ever was one). Hey you can do Mexican if you stick with fajitas and leave out the sour cream and cheese and stuff and skip the chips and salsa...but then again, what's Mexican food without all that good stuff? Sorry, I'm not being helpful am i? Here we go again, dwelling on food. Well, it's a necessity of life right? And it's better to think about it than not and eat a lot of cr@p.

Joe doesn't like Applebees and we don't have a Olive Garden. The only bad thing about sushi is I don't eat fish. I know, thatis what sushi is all about but I do like the veggie rolls. I checked them out on fitday and I can have 6 medium sized ones for under 200 cals. Plus I plan on getting the soup and the soy beans. I love those things.

I think it is ok. I used to work at the one in Baton Rouge.

I think you can taste the rawness. But then again I hate fish. I know that seems kind of weird me being from Louisiana and all. Now put a boiled crawfish in front of me and I will tear it up.

Oh I love those fresh soy bean w/ sea-salt.... not much of a fan of true sushi, but I like the california rolls (crab) and smoked salmon rolls. Salmon is a big thing here in the NW. Applebee's is good, but their portion sizes are huge!!!! I'd order 1/2 an entree salad, or a appetizer and still get full. Or take 1/2 home for later. The food IS really good.

The kids love going out to eat so maybe I will try Applebees sometime.I checked once on Calorieking and they had a restaurant guide for a bunch of them and Applebees had a few lowfat choices. I don't go to Olive Garden because I can make an awesome spaghetti sauce at home and I eat lobster/spaghetti every Saturday and Sunday anyway. That is my most favorite meal.

I have never eaten those soy beans (edamame -- eh-da-maw-meh) ever. Those are real popular here too. Rick loves those even more than boiled peanuts (another thing I don't touch). I don't think they're gross or anything, just never wanted to try them. Don't know if you know this, but people in Hawaii call snack foods like soy beans, chips, peanuts, poke etc. "pupu"--just like it's spelled. Isn't that kinda funny/gross?

HI! I'm here. Had another long day. It's freezing here,a nd snowingf buckets. Not supposed to be too much, but so pretty when it's coming down. They cancel school for everything hrere, so people are at the stores for toilet paper and such. Silly.

Ate okay, and even got a before dinner walk, in daylight. Been going to aerobics, burning burning burning. It's fast paced, but I feel so good keeping up. Not as bouncy as before either. Meaning, i don't get embarrassed by my body anymore. I'm jumping all over the place, and just enjoying the beat wiht the other ladies. I love it. We're off for Mon and then next monday, so i'll do Pilates DVD, hopefully. It'll be snowy outside for a few days, so i'll try to get to the pilates... i'm wanting to see it.

I love your conversations abot sex. YOu girls are crazy! I think cookies can be made less fattening by substituting egg whites instead of whole eggs... honey instead of white sugar,a nd dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate. also, using skim milk, and stuff, that helps too. I once made honey and carrot cookies, they wer great. I forget where I got the recipe. I also like to make chocolate chip bran muffins. Yum!

I eat a lot of microwave popcorn at night, lite of course, and I eat cocoa krispies every night too. I love that stuff! Cereals good for you. and milk is a natural fat burner... rea dit somewhere, drink lots of milk!

Just enjoying the snow come down. Crampy and stuff. Thoguth i felt like crap cause of a flu, but the headache and nausea,a nd stuff was my period. So, now i'm all midol'ed up. Better living through chemistry.

Chris I am all about the meds! I don't like to live in pain. I don't think God wanted it that way.

I really wish I could be around some of that snow right now. It is ccooolllldd here right now. We are going to have a temp of 21 tongiht. I saw that you guys are going to be really cold too. Noelle on the other hand. You are going to see 80 today right? You lucky dog.

I liked to sushi so much that I am going to eat it for lunch today too. Veggie of course.

I am down again. I have broken the 7 lbs mark. It is now a lose of 7.5 lbs. I may actually reach 10 by the 25th. That is the end date of our challenge right? If I don't get to it that is ok b/c I am still doing great. I tried on some of my jeans and they are still a no go. I didn't get upset. That is whatis amazing. Usually I want to cry b/c they don't fit. Not this morning. I tried them on and just slid them back off without a second thought. I know I will be in them soon enough.

You have a great attitudea bout your goals Kempy. Congrats taht you're down again. I know that your determination will help you get to it. Even if you don't make the 10 lb mark, it was just an ideao f what one can lose... if you lose any weight, you've made it. Especially after everyone made it through the holidays okay. You're being a good girl, and sushi is supposed to be so good for you.

I'm just trucking along myself. I was admiring my waist in the mirror today, imagine that! Never in my life have I gotten rid of fat in my gut... now, i'm firming up, and looking great. I was teling my husband that i'll get into a tankini this summer i fI keep it up. He laughed. I said what's so funny? He said, if you keep this up, you'll start wearing a shoe string and be georgous. I love him. He's so encourageing to me. Flirts wiht me all the time. and treats me like a princess. cooks, cleans, steals kisses all the time. and never complains that i work too late, or complain too much (which I do) I am so lucky.

So, scale says, 155. I'm banking on that , casue all this week, i step on it,a nd it's 155. that's 5 lbs in Jan challenge... gone. So, i'm trying. We're all trying.
