Hey girls...my picture is of a view of Diamond Head from a condo unit in Waikiki which Rick (DH) renovated about a year ago. We lived right on the outskirts of the bottom of that crater in an itty bitty one-bedroom apartment a few years ago up until we had the kid. Then we moved back "home" to mom's house. Rent is cheaper there and I don't have to cook much.

Kempy I like to use Fitday sometimes but I eat such weird foods out here that I always have to input the nutritional info and sometimes I just don't have the time or patience. It's a great tool though. have you ever looked at calorieking.com? don't know if that's the correct web address but that site has a lot more diverse calorie counts for all kinds of stuff.

Angie, the lowest weight I ever got to the last time I lost weight was 131--it was like I was starving and/or having to exercise like ALL time to stay there. I was wearing a size 6 jeans and a small top. Don't know if I can go that low again and be happy. We'll see.

I just checked out that site and it sure does have lots of food choices. Maybe I will try that one too. I am always entering in new foods too. I wonder how many it will let me enter. I think almost everything that I eat I have had to enter myself.

Hi girls. Sorry it took me so long to get here. I love being missed though. had another long day at work, busy seeing kids later each day it seems. hubby still snotty and sneezy... poor guy spent all weekend in bed, then had to go back to subbing at the H.S. they all pick on him for being the sub. he's to nice for that job, but it's a job, and he's got a degree.. so at least he's using it there. get him while he's in remission. If he keeps taking DayQuill all day long, he'll make it. Poor guy, has a bad immune system from his Crohn's Disease, so when he gets the cold, it's bad bad bad.

Got my kit for scrapbook company tonight, needless to say, ditched my pilates dvd again. didn't snow yet, but we're feeling the bitter cold, so any minute now....

Spent a few hours unpacking and gigling over my scrapbook consultant kit... so happy that i'm official now, and that i have the tools to do it. so happy... got off track exercise wise tonight. oh well. i'll live. i've got aerobics tomorrow night, and we're really hopping this round... huffing and puffing last night. good.

Ate pretty good today, seeing how i'm running all the time. father in law met me for a quick denny's salad and soup lunch between appnts. he's going to disney for "work' lucky stiff.. hope i get a sweatshirt, cool part is, i'm a large now.. not XL, for once. sorry i'm rambling.. so happy that i'm doing this business thing, and starting to figure out how to manage my schedule. tomorrow, i'm home in time for dinner with hubby. YEAH!!! i'mm be here long before now... tomorrow!

did i say "so happy" and "poor guy" enough? I think so fast!

I'm lurking. Don't feel much like typing these days, but I'll be sure to check in with a progress report on Friday.
Keep it up Violets, we're doing great!!!!

Noelle, I felt the same way at 130. That is probably why I only stayed there for a month and started climbing again/ LOL I was exercising 1 1/2 hours everyday and if I ate anything with fat I would bloat up and my clothes wouldn't fit for a week. This time I am going to have to work with it because I looked good there.

Kempy, post a new pic whenever you are ready. I don't want to push you or anything. Do it when you are comfortable.

Chris, I sure hope Chris is feeling better soon.Subbing and being sick must suck. We did miss ya.

MissWashu, I hope you are okay. If you want to talk or anything we are all here for you.

Speakin gof beinga sub at a H.S. those kids pick on him so much. I got so upset yesterday when he toldm e they cuss at him, F this and F that... he can't possible send the whole class to the office. It can't be about the sub aevery single day, cause he works 2 x per week there, soit's not like he's new. he's coming home so stressed out. reminds me of a kid who gets bullied all his lif,e ane ends up not talking to anyone... he never watns to talk abouth is day, cause he's alwayts so thrilled to "be outta that place". i feel so bad for him.

SvelteChicky 01-15-2003 09:05 AM

I gotta run to work, all day meeting... who plans these things? :)

angieME 01-15-2003 09:10 AM

It is my 100th day!!!!

It is kinda like my birthday. LOL I have stuck it out for 100 days and I have 39 pounds gone to show for it. YEAH!!!! I figured I would weigh in this morning since it is the 100 day mark just to see what I did in that amount of time. I weighed in at 167.5. Hopefully the next 37 pounds come off just as quick but I remember last time for the last few months I would only lose 4-5 pounds a month so I am prepared for that. I just want to wear my jeans again.:dizzy:

SvelteChicky 01-15-2003 12:52 PM

Came home sick. Feel lowsy, i hitnk huby gave me whatever he's been struggling wiht the past couple weeks. Ick.

Angie, I am so proud of you! 100 days,a nd almost 40 pounds down. You're doing excellent,a nd your hard work, and ways to lose weight and stay focused is so inspiring for us. Keep going, cause we're so proud! You'll bein the cutest pair of jeans you can find...

Kempyd 01-15-2003 01:06 PM

AAWW Chris I hate to hear that you are sick. Joe and I pass stuff all of the time. I hope you feel better soon. (both of you)

Washu don't be a lurer stop in for a longer chat.

Angie you are awesome. You are doing everything right this time too. I am rooting for yah. I know you will be exstatic when you get into those jeans.

I did a bad thing today. I got on the scale. I told myself I wasn't going to until next week but I couldn't help it. WOOHOO it went down a whole pound. I only have .5 lbs to go to make my goal for January. I wasn't going to do the 10 lbs thing. I didn't want to freak out over it. Now, if I do lose 10 it will be a welcome surprise.

melekalikimaka 01-15-2003 01:40 PM

Ahhh the highs and lows of life.

((((Chris)))) get some rest and take good care of yourself. I'm sending you some calorie-free "virtual :chicken: chicken soup" and some TLC from me. Maybe you can just laze around and peruse through your scrapbooking kit again, it's bound to make you feel better.

Angie :high: I can't tell you enough how much your success and dedication inspire me to keep going. Whenever I get the munchies I keep telling myself that I need to keep up with Angie (joke). I never really thought about how long I've been dieting in terms of days...let's see...from 10/24...that would be 83 days today for me. It's this site and you girls that keep me honest. Hopefully by my 100th day I will be at least 28 lbs down. I've got 23 down so far so to lose 5 more in 17 days is being realistic. A little tough but if I put my mind to it I can do it. There is a positive side to being heavy. When you try to lose it it comes off easier and faster when you're bigger.

Go Kempy, go Kempy...you'll get that goal this month. I can feel the good vibes :goodvibes for all of us.

Washu, what's up lady? Just busy I hope. If you need some kind of pick me up we can help. But if you're busy out there exercising or something than that's ok too :) . We're having some Seattle weather here today :rain: ~~gray, windy, rainy. It's supposed to get cooler as a cold front moves past our islands. Ugh, 60 degrees, I can't wait (haha).

check ya gals later :spin:

melekalikimaka 01-15-2003 02:34 PM

Gosh it is storming outside right now. I can hear the rain pounding on the warehouse roof and the wind whooshing around. It's quite a cacophony out there. It's weird though, rains really hard for 2 minutes then silence, then comes pouring down again for another 5 minutes, then silence...here it comes again. My office is brightly lit but sits inside a warehouse. I have to go into the warehouse and flip the lights on since it's like it's pitch black night. It's eerie and I'm all alone... maybe that's why I spend so much time here (haha). Anyway, this rain is so unusual for us that I just had to write about it. (sorry!)

Kempyd 01-15-2003 02:36 PM

I hate when I am at work and it rains tlike that. I love to be at home during those storms. Unless of course it is a hurricane. I don't like thsoe anywhere. I hate to watch the trees in my yard bend sideways. SCARY!!

angieME 01-15-2003 03:44 PM

Wow Kempy, once you start theres no stopping you!!! And its right when you usually bloat right? That is great!!! I have been sneaking onto the scales more and more lately, I don't know why really, Just excited to lose I guess. LOL

Chris, I hope you both are feeling better soon

Noelle, I love the rain but mostly when I am in bed at night. I have a skylight in my bathroom and my bed is right by the bathroom door. It is so soothing.Although I am not looking forward to the rain this spring. It is Candi's first and she has SO much hair that she will be a mess.
