5/31 - 171.20 6/01 - 170.6 (-0.6) 6/07 - 169.6 (-1.0) 6/14 - 169.0 (-0.6) 6/21 - 165.6 (-3.4) 6/28 - It's a big difference, but I believe my weight was inflated on the 14th because of my period. |

Donna no I haven't tried P90X yet and I haven't done much of anything else either ;). I hope this challenge is done again next month. MaryOjo :high: 3lbs to go ... :yay: You!! :) I've been so busy with the kids this last week ... I have just let everything slide. Lots of celebreting so no worries. I think I'll finish this month out as best I can, then start fresh next month. I know this gain is mostly sodium with other factors. TOM started so next week has got to be a little better :D |
HELP - Advice needed
So, tomorrow is WI and I've stuck to my 1200 calories and increased my activity. Activity - not working out. I park farther away, I find myself doing yard work or house work when I get home from work instead of sitting on my plump butt yawning.
I received a call from my health advisor today stating he's gone over my daily logs and I'm eating too much sugar. Along with last week's "you're eating too much white carbs". I understand the two can be one in the same. I have a feeling he's going to mention the sweet fruits I've been eating. But here's my thing: I've gone from eating junk food every day of the week to eating much more healthy, lean meats, eating 5 smaller meals a day (3 meals, 2-3 snacks) and much more vegetables and fruits. A total 180 from the crap before. I mean counting calories had taught me that previously I consumed 1200 in one sitting easily, can't imagine what my daily caloric intake was previously. So my fear is he wants to put me on basically put me on this unrealistic meal plan that I won't stick to. Isn't it better to find ways to eat better that you can stick to than to eat turkey and spinach? Looking for your two cents as so many of you are much more successful than I have been. I am a picky eater, and basically don't like many vegetables except lettuce, green beans, carrots, corn, and potatoes. Of which, I know that corn and potatoes are not the best choices. Maybe I give him another couple weeks, but if our philosophies differ so drastically, I find someone else to be accountable to. This forum is great for that as well, but I need the knowledge that I have to weigh in with someone. Sorry for the long rant, but I'm starting to get stressed over this. I think I've been doing so well, have been so proud of myself not binging on chocolate and junk food. ~DD |

berryblondeboys: Yes, it sounds like you know your body well. As I'm just starting I'm sure I'll find that out as well. I think the 9 pound loss in the first couple weeks had to do with my TOM ending, but I'll know more as the weeks go by.
Down 2 pounds. Yay! So met with the health dude this morning. Eh. Cut down sugar, can't eat pineapple with watermelon (even combnied it was only a 1/2 cup). I understand what he's trying to do. Luckily he has no problem with my Hood chocolate "milk", thank goodness! I'll just continue with what I'm doing and try my best to cut out the sugary items later in the day. Love2b150, thanks for cheering me up but i've made some bad choices this week plus it TOM, so i'm kinda dreading WI on friday. We can continue the thread in July so we can stay together to motivate one another. Maybe you will be the moderator.

06/03: 170! (3pounds lost!, sure it's water weight, whatever, i'm glad the scale moved left!) 06/10: 168 06/17: 166 06/24: 167.5 (result of poor choices, i hope i lose it ASAP!) Goal weight by 07/01:163lbs |

6/10 - 151 6/17 - ? 6/24 - 151 7/1 - Still up 2 pounds, honestly I am just glad I haven't gained more! I was out of town last week visiting my sister. We went to a yoga class (it was my first time, super hard!) and I swam one day. Also did a fair amount of walking. The bf is out of town starting this Sunday for a few day so I am hoping his absence will help since I only have to cook for myself. |
Well, considering I went WAY off plan Father's day weekend (McDonalds, pizza, beer....), I guess 2.5 pounds in 13 days isn't toooo bad. Six more days and I'm going to make them count towards my goal of 165. :carrot:

Tabbycat Annie here... been gone to my mother's for a week. Tried to eat small portions but it was not the same as being at home and choosing meals for myself. Also, I did not do my regular exercise while there. I weighed when I got home this afternoon and was still 138. I'll check again tomorrow morning (I usually weigh in the morning) and hope it might be a bit lower. I'm still aiming for 134 by July 1.

Hope you don't me joining in...coincidentally I am trying to lose weight from June 1st to lose 10 lbs. by July. So far...
06/01: 160 06/09: 159 06/16: 158 06/23: 156.5 For the past 3 days I fell off the wagon, but getting my butt right back up tomorrow and starting to run again! I'm determined! I keep falling up...well, I'm just getting myself right back up over and over until I win this battle. Thanks. RA |
I weighed this morning and was still at 138. I guess it was a week without any scale movement.
I'm heading to the grocery store and plan to get strawberries, squash, zucchimi, and carrots. Cut up the veggies with some sweet onion, microwave in a covered dish, add a drizzle of olive oil, sprinkle wih pepper, and that's a really good meal. I need skim milk too, for my raisin bran. |
