Hi new ladies!!!

My week has been all over the place. I have tried really hard to at least journal what I'm eating but it's been such a busy week. If I could just STAY HOME I could have a little more control!

Also, I'll be out of town all of next week so wish me luck and keep our thread going! I'm going to weigh in on Monday and I guess I'll tell you guys about it when I get back. My plan is to take my journal and do the best I can, which is probably going to involve a lot of Lean Cuisines and salads (I hope). After I get next week behind me, I'm going to try to post daily on this thread - I think having to fess up at the end of day will keep me on track!

I have not exercised at all. It's a combination of not being home and it's SO DARN HOT! It was over 100 several days last week. ALREADY!

How are you all doing? Don't let our thread die while I'm gone and I hope everyone has a great weigh in coming up!!!

I'm in too.

My goal is to lose between 12 and 18 lbs over the next oh roughly 90 days.
Exercise more--More yard work, ride my bike more, and maybe take dance lessons.
Keep an exercise, food and weight journal.

Hello! Anyone out there! I'm back, I can see I was...missed?

It is NOT COOL tying to lose weight on someone else's menu so I will be happy if I broke even this week. I still have a thing tonight and a busy weekend but at least I'm home and I'm the boss.

Also? Being fat in this heat is THE SUCK.

I spent this week in my home town catching up with some of the girls I've known since kindergarten. The difference between those who have taken care of themselves (whether they're fat or thin) is just so huge. Some of us look a good 15 years older than others. I'm certainly a lot more interested in eating for health and looks than I was a week ago. When you're fat, it's easy to think fat is your only "looks" issue but a crappy diet does a number on your skin and hair, too. Not exercising or getting enough sleep doesn't do any favors for even the thinnest of us. I guess I've hit that age when everything matters.

Helloooo? Anybody out there?

I started on Memorial Day (May 30) and my first marker is the first day of summer (June 21). I set a pretty ambitious goal of ten pounds and I think I'm going to hit it!

My next marker after that is July 4th and I'd be happy to lose another five in the two weeks between first day of summer and July 4th.

After that is the long stretch from July 4th to Sept 5th - Labor Day Nine weeks. My daughter starts school sometime in mid August (doesn't that just suck?) and when I know that, I'll add a marker between the 4th and Labor Day.

I tried counting calories but it's hard to keep track of everything, all the time, especially when I'm never home AND that's a little too wide open. I need some limits. And I know that when I get something like bread, rice, pasta...it's hard for me not to have one more scoop or just another tiny scoop. And then another and another and another and the next thing I know, I'm miserable and full and bloated. Best to avoid those altogether for now. So I'm doing my variation of low carb. It has worked well for me in the past and I feel good when I eat this way.

Hope everyone is still out there!

I finally weighed this morning and I'm down five pounds! I'm so excited that I can show a loss already when I finally get my ticker!
