I lost some weight on it years a go, a good 15 pounds and kept it off for a while, but past attempts have been unsuccessful, so I do like a lot of others do and use a shake for breakfast, but the plan itself makes me too hungry.

Agreed! I have lost weight in all sorts of healthy AND quick fix ways, my own bad habits are to blame for my gaining it back.

I used slimfast as breakfast and lunch for about a week a year or go to "get me going" on a diet plan, it was like I needed a complete change to "signal" to myself mentally that something new was going to take place with my diet and activity plan. It did help me in that way to break from old habits. Of course the effort was making sure new better habits replaced the slimfast when I moved away from it.
Sadly I'm back now!! At least this time around I know what's going on!

I have never had any luck with slim fast. and last two times I bought them they had safety recalls. I'll never buy them again.

However, I had a friend in college that drank slim fast for breakfast and lunch and had a can of soup for dinner and lost like 50 pounds and then returned to a maintenance of eating and never gained the weight back. He didn't drink or cheat for 3 months and was done.

interesting! - of course, that was a VLCD, I'm sure he was in a state of ketosis for such an achievement. Still! ....

I haven't used their diet plan but I do like their powder mix for a shake in the evenings if i just don't feel like eating I still get the calories and protien I need without needing to chew!
