What do I do?
I'm a college student. When I was at school I managed to lose 8 pounds through exercise and a mainly vegan diet. Now I'm home for spring break, and I can't stop eating. No matter the time of day, I feel an overwhelming need to eat, even if I just ate a meal. I feel so out of control.
I really want to go back to my vegan diet, but my mom doesn't get it. Growing up, my family bonded over really bad-for-you foods, a tradition my mom and I have upheld till present day. Being a people pleaser, I can't demand that my mom throw out all our unhealthy foods (plus she's REALLY bad with change, even one as small as my diet). But I feel better about myself when I eat a vegan diet, not just physically -- I feel proud knowing that I don't contribute to animal abuse.
Anyway, here's the basic gist of what I'm trying to say: How can I stop bingeing? Also, any advice on switching over to veganism?
