I'm juuuuust under 5'3, and my goal weight is 140. Exactly 1lb into the "normal" weight range. Ideally I'd like to be in the 130s. We'll see if I make it there...

I set my goal at 149, which is the first pound within the "normal" range, but I suspect I'm going to settle in around 165. That's the last weight I think I looked really good at. I felt fat because it was a gain from about 135 and I was a little obsessive about it in high school, but looking back I looked too skinny at 135 and looked pretty good at 160-170. It seems high but I have wide hips and I'm very...busty .

When I started this, I set my goal at 150, because it seemed like a good round number and was attainable. I'm 5-4, so that still leaves me in the overweight range. I'm only 14 lbs from that goal, and I'll likely adjust it down when I get there, but who knows? I know I liked my body best in college when I was around 120 lbs, but I just don't know if that's sustainable at this stage of my life. When I weighed that little, I was walking several miles a day to and from college, taking two PE classes, working out in free time, and had a job that required me to be on my feet. I'm not sure if I'm motivated enough for that now that I have children to attend to.

I've been at a healthy weight for a long time. At this point I am purely losing for vanity's sake so the answer for me is no.

I have a high-ish goal weight too: 147, which would just put me in the normal BMI category. Secretly I'd like to get down to 140 just to have lost half my body weight, but I haven't weighed anything close to 147 in the past 15 years and at this point I'd be super thrilled just to have a normal BMI. I have a large frame according to wrist and elbow measurments, and honestly can't imagine that 130 pounds would look healthy on me.

I *was* doing that until I hit my initial goal and realized I had a lot of room for improvement . I'd like to get to a place where I have a little wiggle room and still be 'healthy'.

Hmmm....well, I originally set my goal at 135, even though I secretly hoped I might get to 125. Now it's set at 129, and I really hope that I can reach it and maintain it. All of my children are grown and out of the house and I have lots of time to research about great food and lots of time to exercise.

I have recently come to absolutely love running and it is becoming more than just a casual hobby at this point. I find with every 5 lbs. I lose, I feel better and can run further and faster. 135 was smack dab in the middle of 5'6" BMI and 129 is only slightly lower so I'm not trying to kill myself and get to some stick skinny weight. Already I'm starting to look like the "crypt keeper" in the face and neck. I guess I'm one of those people that someone mentioned earlier, I've been heavy for so long, I want to try skinny for a while.

My goal weight is 135, which at 5'2" puts me just into normal (136).

I chose this because last time I got to 136 (16lbs off goal) and this time I want to go one better.
Also, at 136
New people saw me as normal.
Old people saw a vast difference in me.
I knew that I was slimmer, and truly rejoiced in it, but also felt quite lumpy and doughy, which I was. I was a 12/13/14 - and in some clothes ranges 14 is still 'Large' :O
This time, I think I'll pause around the 135 mark and do some more head-work. Although I don't want to be fat, I'm not sure that actually 'thin' is what I want to be, whether it suits my personality. Once I've decided, I may shoot on for 120, to make 50% of bodyweight lost.

I don't think I've been in the healthy BMI range since high school, possible middle school. So, from my perspective, even if I'm just barely in the healthy range I'd be happy.

Plus, apparently I look smaller than I am although not in my eyes. I went shopping for jeans and this woman goes "There's NO WAY you wear a 20! That woman wears a 16 (the other sales woman) and you're about her size!" Sure enough, the 20 fit but I squeezed every last inch of my muffin top in an 18.

Rambling aside, I think I'd be happy to be on the high end of healthy and would look just fine.

I'm 5'2", and like a pp said, the "healthy bmi" range at that height is 101-136. I'm aiming for 133. I have a feeling I'll feel plenty happy with my body between 140 and 150, though. I arbitrarily picked a number that at least fell into normal, but I don't know that it's necessarily goal. I may stop before I reach that number. I have no idea.

My ticker goal for now is about 5lbs overweight. That isn't my ultimate goal but it's the weight I'd like to achieve before I try to get pregnant again (I miscarried last year). I've also been there in the past and I don't think it was too bad. At the time I didn't like it but I was still used to being much thinner. Now I've lived life much fatter and I don't think it was all that awful.
