Since you're early in your weight loss journey my suggestion would be this: Each day you workout and complete your exercise goal or stay on plan and meet your nutritional goal, put a dollar or two in a jar or piggy bank. Don't touch that money no matter what, then when you reach a mini-goal take that money and get yourself something special. It can be anything from a brow wax to a nice new workout top, whatever you like. This way you don't have to fork over the money all at once that is budgeted for something else, plus it will give you a nice incentive to stay on track everyday.

wow, thanks for all the replies, so many great ideas, ive gone from having no ideas to having too many to choose from lol ! i love the home spa idea, im definatly doing that one, i actually trained as a beautician so thats no problem for me, my local chemist sells individual face masks for £1 and little pedicure kits for £3.
my ex gave me an amazon kindle for xmas but ive only been downloading the free books so maybe i will get one of the more expensive ones for one of my goals. and i love the saving up for a bigger goal idea too! and the necklace/ tealights idea is very cool.
the rewards will go a long way to keeping me motivated, i want the reward more than i want the chocolate... crisps... whatever im craving at the time. of course health and weight loss itself are the main reward, but i dont often treat myself and having something nice when i achieve a goal will be a good little motivator to keep going.
