Default What's wrong with me?

So I've been a member of this community for quite a while now and I just can't lose weight. I have absolutly no patience for anything, I can't stay motivated or committed even though I KNOW I am capable of doing this, and I seriously think I'm a compulsive over eater. I eat when I'm not hungry, I eat when I'm full.

Two years ago I lost 8 pounds in 3 weeks. Back then I was in highschool, on the varsity soccer, basketball, and volleyball teams and had people to be accountable too. But then I started birthcontrol and that's when my hunger started getting out of control.

I think my major problem is that if I don't have someone to be accountable too and don't have someone to keep me on track, then I just can't do it for myself. I want this to happen for me, but how do I get myself to make myself do it without someone to be accountable too?

Try being accountable to a specific part of your body? I focus a lot on my stomach and I remind myself of what I want it to look like whenever I look in the mirror.

There is nothing wrong with you....just with your plan. Do you have a plan? I know how it is to want to overeat. I have a binge eating disorder. I have had to really stay accountable. I count calories and carbs. I eat no sugar and very low carb but I lost most of my weight counting calories. It's hard to binge on chicken.

It's great that you know what motivates you....accountability. Why not do Weight Watchers? Then you know that you will be weighed in front of someone else. Or, maybe your significant other can weigh you once a week and you can set up consequences for weight lost. Or, have you thought about a different birth control? If you don't struggle without the Pill, maybe you can just use condoms?

You really have a lot going for you because you are aware of what you need and what has caused this. That's a huge part of this journey! Now, you just need to implement it so that you are going in the right direction.

Oh and if you can afford it, then maybe a personal trainer could make you accountable. But, eventually, you'll need to find intrinsic motivation because you can't depend on someone else forever.
