Several different weights.....in a row. Continuing problems with my scale.
I've had problems with my scale before but after this morning I'm going to send it out to pasture, I swear. I usually do the 3x on when I weigh and the weights were so different I ended up getting on like umpteen times just to see what a variety of weights I was getting. 188.6, 187.6, 188.4, 189.0, 187.6, 186.4, 188.4, 187.6, 187.6 and a few other numbers in that range I'm forgetting. My husband thinks it's the floor because we live in a crappy apt were the floor is crooked. I make sure the scale is in the same place everyday and doesnt wobble. But he said just the floor being slanted might be a problem.
What do I do? I don't have access to any other scales.
Just to update. I weighed again and now my scale has given me 188.0 3x in a row. If its right then I've been on plan and worked out and have lost an oz in over a week. Ladies, question: when do you usually see TOM weight go away? Is it went it's starts or after TOM finishes? I'm still TOM. Got it Wednesday. Maybe I'm still hanging on to TOM water weight. But that doesn't excuse my scales multiple personalities!
I have a scale that is just like that! Its annoying because I can get up to 4 lb difference when in the same spot. So I have to find a place that gives the the same number 3 times before I will accept it. I had to get on my scale maybe 10 times this morning. (in different places)
Yes, I second the check battery thought. Mine does that too. I have kids who will undress and just leave their clothes laying on the floor, sometimes right on top of my scale which is sensitive. It will stay on all night sometimes if I don't notice it. Today, I stepped on mine and it said 'Lo' and wouldn't register a weight. I'm guessing it happened again and is time for a new battery.
As for TOM, I usually don't gain any weight if I am in weightloss mode, but I don't lose either until the last couple of days of TOM. When not exercising or watching what I am eating, I will gain up to 4 lbs and it doesn't go away until a few days afer TOM.
During TOM I gain weight right before starting and keep it until I'm done.
With my scale, I find if I trigger it out of my own weight range, it will give consistent readings after. If I have my roommate weight herself before I do, it gives more consistent numbers. But I would check the batters first....and then just get into the habit of only getting on it once.
Thanks all. Chnaged batteries and got 188.4. Stayed on plan uptil dinner. Ugh! I cant explain it, but when the scale doesnt move (and goes up) for over a week even though I'm on plan, I just lose steam. I know now that the next couple days the scale will be up and that is so discouraging. This is a very hard cycle to break out of. Tomorrow's a new day.
