I've had a Zone bar and monster energy drink, 2 clementines, one string cheese, taco soup, 5 crackers, 4 starbursts, a diet coke and one glass of water.
I'M STARVING!! Lunch is at 12 but I know I've already eaten enough until dinner or late afternoon snack.
You could also have high fiber foods, like lots of fresh vegetables, in a salad or raw. The fiber in the veggies will keep you full and the vegetables are usually low calorie.
I go through the same thing sometimes, but mine hits me in the afternoon. I literally have to tell myself "You are not going to die from lack of food!" and I then have to slam water after water.
The monster energy drink, starbursts, crackers, and diet coke won't do anything to help your hunger or make you feel fuller. Drink a ton of water!
That monster energy drink may be the cause. Does it have caffeine?
At your next meal choose something you must chew. That will help your satiety level.
For the moment, get out of the house or go take a bubble bath, anything that will keep you out of the kitchen. Exercise seriously helps, too, both short and long term.
Hang on until lunch, and eat lunch as you had planned. And, also eat dinner as you had planned.
It could be that you are starting off too low, or that you're just not used this level of food. I'd say, assume you're just getting used to it and try to hang on--but if you need a snack, make it healthy. Protein foods always help. String cheese is good--also 2% cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, a hard-boiled egg, a can of water packed tuna...
Thanks you, thank you!! I'm at school so I'm limited to school lunch. Maybe I'll grab a salad or heck run to 7/11 for some beef jerky! What I need right now is a nice tasty chicken breast.....that gives me an idea! I could go to YaYa's chicken and order a piece of chicken!
For me, crackers are murder on a diet. They seem so "small", so they're appealing, but they end up making me hungrier than anything. See if you can trade a nice slice of whole wheat bread, the fiber and water in it will fill up more space in your stomach, and it could be the same number of calories.
Drinking water when you feel hungry helps too sometimes that's the real culprit. You may need to up that water to make sure your getting your required amount for the day. I eat every 2 hours, a meal that's about 200 calories, and that keeps me from being hungry. Are you in high school or college? I know in high school it's A LOT tougher to eat that often.
