I can so totally relate to this! And i have admitted to my parents that I have a problem with food - a kind of addiction where i really really crave junk food and once i start i completely lose track of it. And I have said to them i wish i was like you eating chocolates and things and stopping and not putting on weight but i am not. So I asked mum if she can put some foods away in the kitchen and not have them on the living room tables and dinning room table and within reach from the sofa. She did agree and i was so pleased with it. She did say well you don't have to open all the cupboards now do you and i said well actually i do at home. I go to the kitchen, open up the cupboards and the fridge and when i find out that veggies, milk, yogurt, porridge and tea is the most exciting food i have, i just shake my head and walk away. We laughed. But now it is getting better.

I didn't want anyone to think I posted and ran! I'm skimmed through the responses, but I'm going to come back and reread them, because of what I read, they were really great. I've just been so busy, actually our healthy family member ended up coming back and staying a few extra days due to a flight being canceled. I have some things to do today, but I hope to be back on the computer tonight!!

Just want to say I went back a read all the responses. Seems I'm not the only one who has people in their lives that do not have a healthy lifestyle and/or have been around people that are healthy, and can see the huge difference.

I talked to my husband the other day about how healthy living is important to me. I told him I want to share the this interest in my life with him. There's a lot more to what I said, but you get the idea. Some of the stuff he said in response was interesting and eye opening to where he is at mentally. I'm going to start a new thread about it, because its a new subject and I want some people's opinions.
