Thanks Anagram- Trying to keep your advice in mind!

I have also been "in btwn" sizes-- seems like I always wind up wearing the same things anyway! By time I 've lost enough weight that some of them would fit, and I find the clothes again, either its the wrong season or I've dropped to the next size --hee hee- But I am conciously, getting the bigger sizes out of the bedroom and giving away or readying for yard sale.
Its great reinforcement, mentally-- not that size anymore, get it out the door-- Wont' be needing them so its pointless to hold on to them.
And big congrats on the 10% acheivement! Even if mentally we don't believe, our bodies do !!

Aramantha- 3 hrs is quite the commute!! Be careful out there!

    Till next time!
  • Happy Holiday-eve!!!

Got a call from my Dr.'s office yesterday and I think she's going to put me on blood pressure meds since my pressure is still up (160/90) - which is probably why I've been having the odd headaches too... I'm not happy, it feels like I failed. I told her months ago not to put me on meds because I was exercising and loosing weight - but other than the exercising, my weight hasn't moved - and THAT is what I need to do the most to get my BP down. My appointment's on Monday.

Tipper - Wow, don't we feel important... we know before your family?? We won't tell... promise!

Kaylets - I may be by on Thursday for a drive-by posting!

Anagram - Yes, Wednesday is Friday today!!! Congrats on reaching your goal, both in weight and in ways you can't see on a scale!

Ceara - I'm with ya, I'm ready for snow! None to be seen out here though.

Arabella - Yes, we could combine if they'd like, if no one else minds. I'd prefer to not combine with the new "xmas challenge" that's on the Success board right now though - for personal reasons...

Ok, time to get some minor work done, then be a bum...

    Terri
  • Punkin, I thought I had caught a wisp of forum feud somewhere along the line. I'm quite happy to keep threads separate, especially because it gets hard to respond to huge numbers of posters.

I WANT TO BE A BUM TOO!!!!
  • At work here and just skimmed through...will catch up later tonight. Just wanted to say that I posted on Monday a 2lb loss, and a sneak peak this morning showed another pound on my scale. I'll make it official tomorrow.

Something that NEVER happens....I went to my doc's yesterday and was 2lbs LIGHTER than on my own scale!!! I won't count those two as a loss though for this challenge. I'll adjust for the new one. Oh, which I'd be happy to keep of track of. If someone else has really, really been wanting to, though, that's okay by me too.

Hope everyone is having a good day! I'll be back tonight.
  • I know I posted my weekend farewells but here I am back again.
    Sigh.....

Safe driving on that three hours, Amarantha. And to all other turkeyettes who be travelling today.

Kaylets, glad your bro was an advanced type. Our youngest brother was SO spoiled because he had the older sisters fussing over him so much. And my parents by then were much more lenient than with the older children. He's a good guy though. It was just when he was little.

As to combining, I'm with everyone in every direction. Might be a good choice to leave to volunteer who'll be tracking as I imagine it will make it even a bigger job.

    Back to readying.......
  • Tuesday lunch!
Punkinseed- Just remember, the blood pressure medicine may only be temporary! If your bp #'s get better when the weight comes off then you'll be done w/ it!

Anagram! I'm glad you stopped by again! Everytime I take a break, I'm checking the thread.

Was hoping I'd come up a safe treat for tomorrow but everything I've looked at so far is too big for just DH and myself. Too dangerous!

Maybe some baked apples and sugar free icebox cake-- (in individual portions) ....

and maybe I can find some 'safe" pumpkin something recipe--

    time for lunch!
  • Kaylets - years ago when I did Diet Workshop they had a pumpkin mousse recipe that I just loved. Unfortunately, I've been looking for it for weeks now and it's apparently gone. It involved a can of pumpkin, a can of skim evaporated milk and artificial sweeteners plus pumpkin pie spices. Any old DW'ers out there that might have it?
  • Wow, so many pounds lost!!! And this Thanksgiving Challenge has been such a flurry of activity I couldn't keep up with everyone. I really hope to do better with the Yule Challenge--weight wise and response wise!

I feel like I'm slogging up out of the depths of my recent binging and I do hate this stage of the game but I'm coming back, baby!

    Speaking of baby---congrats Tipper!
  • Hello Turkeys!

I'm getting ready to get outta here and thought I'd post one more pre-Turkey day "hello"

Kaylets - thank you for the encouragement about the BP meds. Yes, if I do need to go on them it'll be temporary for sure.

We have a home monitor and I've checked it a couple times today and it's completely normal 123/82 - so either my monitor is WAY off (my Mom thinks it's pretty accurate), or I've got major white coat hypertension, OR (most likely) they need to recheck me after I get seated and have a second to catch my breath. Hey, I'm almost 100 pounds over-weight - a quick walk into a room while talking to someone is enough to damned near wind me! I've been exercising a month - I'm sure in 1 or 2 more months it'll be much, much better.

Anagram - that mousse sounds gooooood! Hope someone can find it!

I'll try to check back tomarrow - hope everyone's hanging in there on this holiday eve!!

  • Hi ALL

Congrats to Cybele on the 1.5 more and Anagram 6! And Wildfire 2....what a great bunch of Losers!!!!!!!!!!

I can do the roster if that is OK, but I really don't want to start the thread....any others who need to do that job? I'll back off the roster if so.

I also picked up on a forum kafluffle...figured I'm happy where I parked...lots of scintillating conversation and ideas...just need some furniture, LF snacks, vino and all your presences physically and we'd have a great PARTY!!!!

So tomorrow is the last day....watch out for those pie pitfalls guys!

    Ceara
  • Punkinseed I have had the high blood pressure for years. I'm very happy to say that the doc has been decreasing my meds for a couple of months now and just lowered it again today I go back in a month to see how it is doing. My pressure used to be 155/105 at its worst on meds but usually came in around 145/95 on meds at top level, today I got a great reading of 118/68. As for white coat syndrom it is definitely a factor. My doctor always makes me sit for a few minutes before taking it. usually the nurse takes it first and then the doc comes in a few minutes later we chat for a bit and then he takes it, even today with it being so low when the nurse took it he still did it again after we chatted for a bit. So hang in there if you get your weight down the pressure may come down with it.
Have a great Turkey day tomorrow everyone.
  • Found a pumpkin pudding recipe (actually several) on the WW Recipe Board under desserts. Just did a pumpkin search but a pumpkin pudding would have been faster. No pumpkin mousse showed up. Not exactly the same but on the same order as far as a can of pumpkin, artificial sweetener and pumpkin pie spice. Just several different ways for the rest of it. All sound good. Might try them after I get back. Since it is truly my intent to limit the pumpkin pie and I truly love that pumpkin taste.
  • Thanks!
Here we go again! That's just where I was looking!
Did you see the "crustless Pumpkin pie" ? The whole pie is only 4 pts!!
  • Okay Ceara, the roster is yours! I'll start a thread tomorrow evening, since it isn't Thanksgiving here in Canada, that way it will waiting for us all first thing Friday morning.

Punkin, glad the gut is better! Don't fret about the BP medication. If you were diabetic, you wouldn't despair about insulin....if you need them, take them, and hopefully you won't need them for long because you're going lose more weight and be even MORE fabulous than you are now!!!

    Cybele...good news....I believe it's 12 lbs to go down a clothing size, not 20!

Dollar, glad your cough is getting better, and CONGRATS on the size 14s!!!

Amarantha, I'm so glad you're enjoying the points system. It makes a world of difference when you are motivated with your plan.

Kaylets, Eydie, Tipper, anagram, Arabella, and anyone else I missed !

Congratulations to all our losers and hope to see you on the 26 Days of Christmas thread! It has been an honor and a pleasure to be a Turkey with you all.

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
  • That's eerie! Yes, I did see that. Lots of other things that look good too.
