OK... so... I've pretty much gained the five lbs back... without interest (I weighed, I was 214.2, and that was after drinking quite a bit of diet soda

), but... it was vaction.
BUT... I'm starting over...
But for the whole "match the hair" thing, I died my hair last night. It's a darker brunette... and more "me" in a way. So... my goal is to have the rest of me match my hair. I want my hair to grow out (it has a wave in it, which ends up making one side ALWAYS curve inwards, and the other side curve outwards... so it needs to grow longer to look... I dunno... normal), and I want my final end result to match my hair once my hair looks like I want it to.
But... I have some goals to go along with it. Just things I'll be working on over the next week (I leave Serbia in a week), and the following months. They're not overly restrictive... or a "MUST GET THIS OR ELSE" kind of thing... more like general guidelines.
1. No more soda. Club soda is OK (y'know... mineral water, sparkly water, bubbly water, whatever you want to call it), since I like to mix it with fruit juices (bring on the Apfelschorle baby!), but no more diet soda or regular soda. Need to cut out the fake and real sugars in those. This is also so I can stop having some of my stomach stuff... not just because it's healthier... but... wait... same thing? I dunno. Just... no more soda. Diet or otherwise.
2. Get down to 140 by June 2011. Is that an OK goal? It was my original goal when I "started" 2 or 3 months ago... it's my total end goal, and if maintenance means I have to be a bit heavier or even a bit lighter... then so be it.
3. Get down to at the highest, 180 by December 29th. That's my birthday... and the day I'll meet all my friends again. Last time I saw them I was at 200 lbs, and was always the "chunky" girl around them. This'll be the last time I see them for quite a while... since it's my last year, being a Senior and all. So... I want to look at least somewhat nicer than I do now.
4. Eat at least six servings of fruits and veggies a day. Doesn't matter WHAT they are... as long as it's six servings.
5. Weigh out and plan ahead of time all my food (except when I'm away from home, those times'll just be portion control). I have a scale... so... even though it's not the MOST accurate in the world... it should work.
6. Aim for at least 30 minutes of exercise a day. Doesn't matter what it is, as long as I get my body moving.
7. Hit onederland before Thanksgiving.
8. Stay within around 1000 and 1800 calories a day. The reason I put this is that some days I tend to not be hungry and so don't eat as much, and others I eat a lot. So... instead of saying "ONLY THIS MUCH AND THAT'S IT", and I'm giving my body some room to deal with the "food swings". And, despite the fact that I'm weighing all my food and being careful about what I'm eating, I want to kind of have more of the "maintenance attitude", that way it's not such a HUGE transition once I move into maintenance. I'm training my body and mind to understand food portions and develop a better relationship with food and exercise... instead of restricting myself to the point where I can hardly do anything.
9. Do an elimination diet to see exactly what causes my heartburn, chronic diahrea, and other stomach issues I tend to have.
10. Slowly transition to eating more vegan so that by the time summer 2011 comes around I can finally become what I've been trying to become since I was 13... vegan.
So... anyone want to join my "match the hair" journey? I am going to be posting weekly pictures on here (or on a blog, not sure which yet), showing both my hair length and look as well as my weight stuff. I'm not looking necessarily for an accountability partner... just if someone else has wanted to do their hair for a while, or grow it out, or something, and also has weight to lose... and wants to share their goals. The "end date" can be any time... a month, a year, sometime in the future... whatever.
