that was rude of him, not knowing the situation. But i feel he was trying to be motivational. Like really trying to say "thin people are movers and shakers..not button pushers". Sometimes we need our thin friends to spur us on with anger and indignation.
he picked the WRONG time to do it. At least you know you have a true friend that doesn't sugar coat things...that is a plus. I hate it when people agree with you about everything.
my SO loves me being thick. I was craving munchy foods and was totally avoiding them...and he was like "I like it when you crave munchy foods...then there will be more jen-jen for me to squish and love".
i was like ummmm..are you saying you want me to be fat??? slap! but at least he is honest.
I'm with JamieJo here. Men can be really stupid!! Worse than that they think they are smarter than women and will take any opportunity to 'try' and prove that.
(no offence to any of you nice guys on 3FC, this is just what I gathered from all my past relationships/guy friends LOL)
Men can be so insensitive. Maybe in his own way he was trying to help, if he has heard you say something about losing weight before. My guy friends try to be helpful, but sometimes they don't understand and come off so insensitive. Either way, that would have made me really upset too! Especially after you gave him a chance to backpeddle!
I HATE when scenes in my head just keep
replaying. Whenever someone says something rude to me
I just let them know how offensive that is in the nicest way
possible. A simple (and sincere), "That was incredibly rude."
and nothing else said can say it all, explain it all, and can let
them know how you feel without stooping down to their level.
