I sweat a lot, always have, no matter what my weight or physical activity was. I used to sweat while sitting at my desk at work. I figured I would just need to deal with it, or lose more weight, or something ... Then my hands broke out in this weird rash. When I went to the doctor, I found out I don't sweat a lot because I'm fat, it's because I have what he called a "sweat gland disorder". I sweat so much it can't all break through the surface of my skin and causes sweat blisters (they don't hurt, just look odd). He put me on medicine, the first prescription drug I've taken in years. I've been on it for 2 years now and while I still sweat when I exert myself, I no longer sit in pools of sweat at my desk, or in class, etc.

Oh yes, definitely! At my heaviest, summertime was torture. Any part where skin touched skin (arms, boobs, thighs rubbing together, those flaps of fat on my back...) I would sweat profusely. I had to resort to baby powder under my boobs because the sweat + my bra would cause a rash and irritation. Since I live in Colorado, homes are built without air conditioning so sleeping during the summer was terrible.

I hardly sweat at all now, unless I'm exercising.

I'm like Mandalinn--I sweat less during normal activity but more overall because I move more. But I like sweating during exercise. Funny story, I came out of my first Zumba class and ran into one of my co-workers in the hall and she asked me if I had been in the pool!! My hair was DRIPPING wet.

I sweat a lot. Always have, will always :'(
Since I lost weight, rather than being straight out cold more often or plainly hot more often, I found that I can change from hot to cold or back more quickly. Fat really insulated me, once I was hot it took me the longest time to cool off, and when I was cold I didn't warm up for minutes even with extra cover.. now it's all quick except maybe for my belly/backbottom which, of course, is still surrounded by a layer of fat.

I sweat so much less now it is crazy. I used to have to use Certain Dry, even in the winter. Now I really only get sweaty when I am working out. My feet still get sweaty though, which is really weird. . .

Like others here, my threshhold for exertion has risen, and I don't sweat as much while walking in the city on a warm day, for example.

But when I do sweat, I melt. My scalp, my hairline, the back of my neck, my throat & my chest get soaked. Also around my waistband.

The weird thing is, in cardio, it seems to break out always around the 10 minute mark, no matter what the weather or humidity level. I can practically time it.

The difference is, I mind sweating less than I did because it seems honorable, a sign that I've worked hard. I'm not under the delusion that this is a form of detox or that it's the only indicator of a good workout, but if I did ever come out of a workout without sweating much, then I'd feel I'd wasted my time.

This is absolutely true for me as well.: it's always at 10 minutes in.

I don't normally sweat a lot, but when doing cardio I sweat more than anyone I see at the gym. Even the men don't seem to sweat as much as I do. It gets all over everything. And I know I'm not just hyper-aware of my own perspiration, because my BF has noted I'm the gym's biggest cardio sweater, too. I have to make sure to buy the gym clothes that are most effective against perspiration just to look somewhat less like a drowned rat when I'm done with my cardio session.

After I switched to natural deodorant, I noticed that I sweat less. It took a few weeks for me to acclimate myself to it, though.

I live in a different climate than the one I went to HS in. I lived in the dry desert southwest, and actually did not sweat or drink much h20, also a mile above sea level. Now I am in the midwest which is more humid. It is at sea level or below. I sweat more, drink more.
don't know why. Do know sweat is a natural cooling stratey and you shouldn't try to block your pores or anything. Smelliness comes from bacteria. LOL a little hand sanitizer in your pits usually works.
