A couple weeks ago I went shopping because I desperatly needed clothes and I got 14s and a couple 12s. The 12s were snug and the 14s were perfect to a tad loose. This week my 12s fit great and my 14s are a lot loose. I though hmm...I wonder if I'm "officially" a 12. So when I was grocery shopping at Walmart I saw a pair of $10 shorts and I haven't worn shorts in FOREVER other than working out and I have a BBQ today so I grabbed the 12s they didn't look like they'd fit on the hanger and I couldn't try them on but I got them anyway, figured I could shrink into them. I got home put them on and perfect! I thought...well these are Walmart brand, I'm sure Walmart runs big, so later we were out walking in the nicer part of town and stopped in a White House Black Market and I thought well this is the real test, if these fit me then it's official...and they fit! A brand name size 12 fit me. I was so excited, it felt so good to be out of plus size! Although I personally consider a 14 out of plus size, but I know that most stores don't.
I think what is more exciting is to know that in just another 10-15 lbs I'll be a size 10! A size 10 is just a dream to me because I was about an 8/10 through most of highschool and I've been dreaming of getting back there for probably 10 years...so it's possible girls, but please please stick with it, you'll get there I promise. I know it's hard especially when you've lost 30, 40, 50 lbs and you look in the mirrior and think oh there is so much farther to go, but you can do it and it is worth it. You'll be planning things you never dreamed of. For example I'm looking into upcoming 5k and 10k races, something never thought I could or would even want to do. Anyway, sorry for getting so preachy, but it's been and big week of goals for me and I just want to share and encourage everyone to just keep it up-it's also TOM and I'm feeling emotional
