Default Review my menu

1/2 cup oatmeal 150 cal.
1 tsp honey 60 cal.
1 can of soup 180
1 fit and light yogurt 60 cal.
real fruit smoothie I make myself with real fruit and a splash of orange juice and 1 scoop of whey protein powder. With all the ingredients it came out to be
190 cal.
This should equal 640 calories. I plan to have a steak and a vegetable tonight which should equal 300 cal. Am I eating enough? I heard if you eat too little you won't lose weight either. Help!!!

Are you interested in calorie counting My3angels? You'd probably love to do some reading here
http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/calorie-counters-172/

The nice thing about the menu you've shown us is that there is room for hunger. You can still have a nice healthy snack later.

Try it and see. Record your intake and take note of how you feel. Are you tired? headachey? exercise intolerant? did you sleep properly? did you awake starving? were you ever starving?

There's a lot of trial and error involved in finding a nice food balance for you. But you can find it.

So that totals 940? I think the general recommendation is to not go below 1200 calories per day. That being said, I sometimes have trouble reaching that goal too. I usually try to add in a piece of fruit with breakfast or as a snack to reach 1200, and sometimes I get closer to 1400. Just make sure that you're not feeling out of energy and tired/sickish.. those are things that happen to me when I don't eat enough.

Also, if you work out alot, in my opinion, you probably need more calories. Of course you gotta do what works for your body - and what your doctor says, if you go to one - but these are my thoughts! Hope they help

Thanks for the quick responses. I feel guilty eating this much because my mind has been trained all these years to starve yourself thin. I am eating a lot more food but it's good food. Not the processed crap that I was eating. I will get used to this in time.
