We used to get our DL renewed every four years. I went in one time, and while they don't list your weight on the actual licence, it is in the system. I was pulled aside and told I had to change my listed weight because it was obviously wrong! I had no idea what I weighed but the woman behind the counter took a guess which was closer to my actual weight than what was listed.

Mine was just renewed so I changed my weight to what it is now. I also told the lady I was 5'3 1/2 " not 5'6" like it said on my licence. She asked how long I had been my current height.....lol then when I got my licence in the mail I was suprised to see that I'm still 5'6"

This is a FUNNY subject for me.....my last license was issued in 2003 when I TRUTHFULLY weighed 390#. My license says as much(I figured at the time, why lie, I look 390#) I had RNY gastric bypass in 2006 and lost 167# and being from the state of Az. I do not have to renew until 2042(at which time I will be 60!!!!Go figure???). Any how this has always been a funny thing for me. If you could see my license, I look WAY thinner now, yet no one has ever made a comment on the difference??!! So I have to ponder on how much "they" really even care about what "we" worry or claim to be

Go over to the scale so we can get your real weight" in the snottiest, most condescending voice ever.
That's what I was worried about which is why I decided to be more truthful, but obviously not completely honest. Turns out my lady was super nice and I could've probably put 130 without her saying anything.

Glad to hear I'm not alone in lying by a lot!

Ha this is so funny. Mine *said* 120...which was about 15-20 pounds off at the time. My license is suspended until June 10th, and I hope by the time I'll be about 110-115 so I'll actually have to lower it! That's where my "40 pounds in 6 months" motivation actually came from

My license has read 140 since high school, when I weighed between 170-188. When I go back to renew, I will give my real weight. I generally put 155 on everything else these days. I look forward to one day being a truthful 140, though.

hehe..mines too. I always put 150 on my ID.

is the weight that big of a deal on the license? these days we know weight doesn't mean everything, especially with more women working out and putting on muscle, we know we can weigh more and really look smaller.

I must have been just about 260 and I put 240 on there, although I thought I was lying by a mere 10 lbs. However, i just got it renewed two summers ago.

I despise my picture on my license, so I can't wait to renew and get a new picture, with a lower weight.

The ladies at my local DMV are super sweet. They will take your photo until they get a good one. And they say that you can take 30 lbs off of your real weight! LOL I still like my photo on my dl, even though I'm 65 lbs heavier in it.

mine has read 180 since I was 17 yrs old. My highest known weight was 278, and now it's 192. So, at least I am getting closer.

I lied. I think I said I was 200 when I was really like 220-240. This time around, I'll probably tell the truth though.

When I got my license (when going off to college), I put what I weighed, because I didn't think you could lie about an official government document! (Oh, I was so cute back then...)

It's stayed 130 ever since.

What's funny is, now that I am exercising so much, I am probably thinner than I was then, even though I weigh 12-15 pounds more. I've never bothered changing it, though.

My current license is from FL and they asked for my weight but it's not on the ID itself. I've been living in WA for about 2-3 years now and since I was always "planning" on losing weight I refused to get a new license and just prayed I didn't get pulled over. So far I haven't so I'm excited that I'll be able to FINALLY get a license for the state I live in and put a real weight on it.

I should have just got one and got a new one once I lost the weight but they are like $50 bucks and I'm frugal.

On another note, my husband was telling me that one of his co workers (a guy and not a tiny guy ether, not HUGE but not tiny) wanted to see how much they pay attention and he put 120lbs down when getting his new license and they did it! I laughed, this guy is no where near 120 and now that's what he's got on his license . . funny.
