Congratulations! 26 pounds is a terrific beginning. It took forever until anyone noticed I was losing, but I blame that on my height. It also takes your brain time to adjust its mental picture of you. Keep up the great work!

I'm in like, the same exact boat as you pretty much! I've lost 26 and no one has noticed (except my uncle, who said my face was looking thinner when I'd lost about 10-15 lbs).. but I still feel really proud and you should too! Congratulations!!

I have friends that have had the weight loss surgery and even know I don't really remember them big, I'd like to think that when I look at my true friends I don't think of them as big or put that in my brain....does that make sense? If i know someone is trying to lose weight I really try to focus on the changes so I can compliment and comment on it.

And I think as long as YOU know then you should shake what your mama gave you. I do know its awesome to have compliements though and it will come girl! You've done so well! And you can always count on us fat chicks to give you a lift

CONGRATS!! I know, i hate how I can loose 25lbs and no one can barely notice and I can't myself! But the skinny ones you notice right away! Oh well we'll get there just have to stay motivated!!!!

Its definitely about percentages of body weight. You are doing a wonderful job, very soon it will be noticeable to all. When I started out I felt the same way, then all of a sudden people noticed!

Sometimes people notice but don't want to say anything because they're not sure. People who see us daily, like co-workers, are seeing you change very gradually, so it's not like it's a drastic WHOOSH to them--they are seeing you get smaller in small increments so they probably don't consciously realize it.

I have a good friend at work and, early on, I told her that I'd lost 22 pounds. She said, "I was going to say something because I noticed, but there have always been people around!" So sometimes people are noticing when we think they aren't.

Like many others, it wasn't really till I had lost a good 30 pounds before people started noticing. Once I started buying smaller pants, people started mentioning it. But I have now lost 53 pounds, and there are still people at work (who I consider friends!) who haven't said a thing. Have they noticed? I dunno!
