I'm bummed. This is kind of a complaining post, I know. But this short weight loss journey is on a bad foot. grrrrr
I'm the same way, those positive compliments just push you forward and make you want to work harder, they feel great! I usually get 'did you lose weight?' when I've actually gained it so it always makes me feel bad haha.

Why don't you take before and after pictures? They'll reaffirm for yourself the difference that your feeling and seeing, as well if you want to get showy about it you could always show your mom 'Look! I went from this, to this' If you see someone often they won't see that gradual change, but someone you see rarely will notice the difference more as well.

Hope that helped

I was down -30 pounds before anyone noticed. In some ways though I loved that secretive time--time for me, reflecting into myself about what I wanted and why, my new lifestyle was like a hidden jewel waiting to glisten in the sun.

Keep up your work and give it another 20 pounds or so. The comments WILL come as you continue. In fact, some days they will never seem to end.

I like when people that normally don't talk to you begin looking at you when THEY think you don't see them looking. That is rich! LOL

I think like others have said some people are worried to say something that it might offend. I have just flat out told people and then they say something lol Like they did notice but dind't wanna speak up.

As long as you feel good about what you doing that is really is all that matters!

Have you tried strength training? I'm doing the most baby ST I could find (I'm afraid of injury), but I'm surprised at the difference. I feel thinner at this weight than I was the last two times I was here! My husband complimented me last week (about a 12 pound loss) -- and he did it when I was naked. I suspect it will be a little longer before anyone will notice when I'm clothed.
