I definitely take rest days from my exercise - I feel like its important to give my body a break, so I almost always take one day a week off from the gym. However, some weeks if I'm feeling really good, I will do a shortened workout on my off day as well.
I don't have cheat days from my eating plan though - I journal everything, everyday. Which isn't to say I don't have treats. I just plan around them and budget them into my plan for the day. I also try to limit that to once a week, just so I don't go overboard!
