Default Taking Control--of Health, of Life?

As I've become more comfortable with my new eating habits, I've noticed another benefit to taking control of one aspect of my life. Along with taking control over my health by changing my diet and exercise habits, I've come to realize recently that some other habits have also changed. I am no longer putting off difficult phone calls or tasks, don't need rewards as a motivator, and seem much better able to complete challenging tasks without procrastination.

As a teacher, I often see children making strides in one area of development which quickly propels them into growth in other areas. I wonder if this also happens with adults, and if others have also seen this happy change in their own journeys?

I definitely find myself applying what I've learned in health to other areas of my life too. Getting healthy is so often about changing what you think you're worth!

This was definitely the case with me. Definitely.

I contribute it to a few things. I have more energy. I have more confidence. I have more respect for myself. I require more of myself now. I'm not in a depressed state anymore. Another thing, when I decided to lose the weight, I decided to stop making excuses and be brutally honest. So, I've stopped making excuses in other areas as well. Taking charge and control of my weight, my health has trickled down to every aspect and area of my life. My home is neater, cleaner and runs more smoothly. I've taken care of things that I'd put on the back burner for years, like old debt. I just kept pushing it off and pushing it off (hmmm, I wonder where I got the pushing off from?). Not anymore. I finally DEALT with it, and now it's history. Because that's what I do now - I deal with things, in a mature, reasonable, responsible fashion.
