so as if trying to lose weight isn't hard enough, once a month we lovely fantastic females get to experience mother natures gift (some gift eh ladies)
what I'm wondering is how much does your weight flucuate while your on your period. I've gained about 2 pounds that I've noticed and it put me back at that 290 mark which is UBER depressed cause i swore I'd never be 290 ever ever again
yea i think I'm gonna have to ignore it.. its far to depressing.. now the real challenge is not turning the car into wendy's on the way home from a day of emotional crying at work..
Yep - up at least 5, going down 3 days after it ends, like clockwork.
Once you've been at it a while, you start to learn your patterns, so you know what a normal fluctuation is for you vs. something you need to be concerned about. And I swear, once you start KNOWING the reason for your fluctuations, you stop worrying about them so much (or at least that's my experience).
5 pounds almost always. Stay away from the scale 3 days before, during and 3 days after. Thats what I always do. In fact, I just went through it last week and 3 days after it finished, I hopped on the scale bc I missed my weigh in day and was down 3 pounds.
Normally, I gain anywhere from 3 to 6 lbs right before my TOM and then drop it a few days into it. This week, I was suppose to start yesterday (haven't yet) and instead of gaining I lost one pound at weigh-in last night. Which makes me wonder how much would I have lost if I wasn't supposed to be starting, or if I'm going to start...or is this menopause!!! OK, I digress.
Surprisingly, I actually lose while Aunt Flo comes for her monthly visit. However, when I'm not staying OP, I gain, cramp and bloat like the Goodyear Blimp!
I find I normally gain about 3-4 pounds. But if I keep chugging away at exercising and staying on plan I can count on losing another couple of pounds at the end.
