this is so cool. 100 calories extra per day isn't very much - i have this attitude, gotta change it cuz my maintenance is 1800 (and my diet cal is 1560) and i definitely needn't those 100 kcal extra since 1560 isn't much either lol

Y'know, Jendiet, I really have to thank you for posting this!
I have thought about it and quoted it often. Just the other day, I was in Starbucks, and noticed the breakfast foods had calorie labels, and they weren't as high as I thought. 300-400 calories. And I thought, Maybe when I reach maintenance, I COULD have something like this sometimes--it's only 120calories more than I'm eating for breakfast now. THEN I remembered this post!!

WoW thank you so much for this thread! I really needed this. I even had to share this with my sisters lol.

It really makes you realize that it is all this small choices that make a huge difference. Switching to something that is 100 calories less or a smaller portion. Not going for that ice cream, etc... it does make a big difference over time. And also it gives me something to think about everytime I feel like cheating and thinking alittle won't hurt, when in reality it does.
