I think I will drink more water for the next week as well. Every since I watched that Oprah episode where Dr. OZ did the experiment with the twin sisters and the water I stopped drinking the massive amounts I used to. It was determined that massive amounts of water did nothing to increase or effect weight loss in any way...I was thrilled to say the least because I can't stand having to go pee constantly, especially when I'm shopping. Matter of fact in the last 6 months I probably have only drank 10 glasses of pure water! BUT, on the down side, I have noticed my teeth are getting stained from the tea and coffee, and I should cut some of that out out and replace it with water for that reason alone.

So...I will drink one quart of water a day for the next week.

Oh, a week-long challenge - just what I need to get back on track, may I join?

My challenge to myself is to do yoga every day this week, including weekends. Even if it's just 10 minutes in the morning. So far, I've been good:

Sunday: 40 min at home
Monday: 60 min class
Tuesday: 5 min morning, 60 min class
Wednesday: 5 min morning; 40-60 min DVD (planned)

Thanks for the challenge I wouldn't have had the motivation on my own.

Heffalump ... of course you can join! Any place we can find motivation is a good place I say!

bikini .. you're rockin' it! I've also heard the colder you drink water, the better. Your body can't use "cold" water, it has to use energy to make it warm. Thereby making water have negative calories! Hot Dog to that ... er.. hot CARROT!!! So fill 'er up and add lots a ice!

I will get some type of physical activity in every day this week.

So far, I've done:
Monday: Sports conditioning class
Tuesday: Step aerobics
Wednesday: Spinning
Thursday: plan to do a relaxing yoga tape tonight to give my body a bit of a break.

Hopefully I can stick with it!

Way to go, ladies!

I've been good yesterday! And posting in this thread helped me get through the whole hour - otherwise I might have called it quits after the sun salutations... today I'm in all kinds of pain, but it's a much better pain than the one that comes from sitting around and not doing anything.

So, for today I plan on going to a new class - power yoga at 5:30 and some cardio afterwards - and I know it will be hard to get motivated enough because I also have a meeting at 7:30pm (next door to the gym though, so yay) - and lots of stuff to do and essentially zero time with my husband today (he may be relieved, who knows? ). But I will do it! It's my priority this week, and I will do it!

I have exercised twice this week ~ it doesn't sound like much but really it's the most exercise I've gotten since before Christmas. Next week I want to up it to 3 days. Then add another day the week after. Then I will be back on track, exercising 4 days a week. That's sustainable I think.

DCHound...that's great. It's a great way of easing into an excersize routine. You should never go from zero to 6 days anyways. Definately, start out slow and build up to it. OOH and look...only 9 pounds way from 100!!! AWESOME!!! Way to go!!!
