I'm like lumifan...I love cereal (and fruit), but it never satisfies me for very long, therefore I can not eat it for breakfast unless I'm eating breakfast at 11:00am an hour before lunch...lol Matter of fact fruit of any kind at breakfast does the same thing.

My best "no hunger" days are when I start the day with eggs & veggies. I'll slice about 1/4 red bell pepper, 1/4 green bell pepper, 4 or 5 button mushrooms and onion and garlic (around 1 or so cups total of raw veggies) and sauteed them with a small spray of Pam until they are tender, sometimes I have to add a little water while it's cooking so they don't stick and burn. After they cook down to the tenderness I like them, I crack 2 eggs on top and break the yolks. Cover and cook to desired egg done-ness. I then split a slice of regular American cheese and put half over each egg. I spoon each veggie/egg/cheese over 2 slices of whole grain 45 calorie toast. It makes a HUGE breakfast for about 310 calories and I am stuffed. I don't even think about food until way beyond noon. Try it, you'll like it! Oh, and if I know I'm having busy mornings, I'm make up a double or triple batch of the veggies beforehand and store in the fridge. It just takes minutes to prepare if the veggies are already to go.

I make smoothies in the morning with whey protein powder, yogurt, milk, oj, banana and frozen fruit. They come in around 400-440 calories with 35-40 grams of protein depending on what I put in, type of yogurt, etc. Keeps me full until 11:30-noonish, when I I have a small snack until lunch at 1:00. Some days I don't want the snack, even.

I'm the same way, if i eat breakfast i find i am WAY hungrier during the day, guess that shows that your body is actually burning this food and not storing it??

I love having eggs in the morning, scrambled with onions garlic and peppers, best breakfast ever lol

I will keep experimenting to find what does the trick, I know when I had the mini quiche I was less hungry than the other days, so maybe the higher protein lower carbs is what I need. Thanks all for the suggestions.

I'm always hungry after breakfast. I was eating whole wheat toast with peanut butter and sometimes some fruit. I feel like I use all the energy from the food to keep myself awake and ready for the day. I end up snacking 1 or 2 hours later...

I eat breakfast at 11, today I had a fiber one muffin (5 grams of fiber), two slices of bacon and a banana and I was good until 3 when I had lunch.

Sometimes I have a deli turkey sandwhich on multi grain lite english muffin with a slice of cheese

Or oatmeal pancakes and two slices of bacon

Or yogurt and oatmeal.

I think the protein is good. I also eat a bigger breakfast than any other meal (that quote is exactly how I eat, though I had never heard that before it is just what works for me) I eat a big breakfast, a smaller lunch, two snacks one at 7 and one at 9 and then around midnight/1 o clock I have a VERY late small dinner. (Bf works very late so we eat late.)

But it seems to be working!

I've found that splitting my breakfast into two meals works well for me. For example:

7:30 am: oatmeal. Breakfast of champions. With cinnamon, splenda, or even a bit of fruit. Sometimes an egg white omelet.

10:30 am: Yogurt with fruit. Or fruit and a bit of peanut butter. Sometimes a banana. If I start my day with an omelet, then I go for a carb like oatmeal.

If you can afford it (I can't for every day), then try 0% Fage or Oykos (sp?) yogurt. It's extra thick, has less calories than most every yogurt, and it has tons of protein. If you like 1% cottage cheese, then that's also a good substitute.
