Charcoal for flavor when I have time to relax. Gas when I just need to get it cooked. Oh that sounds good a steak on the grill with a cold beer and a baseball game to listen to. To bad it's freaking 10 degree F outside.

2 full-size gas Grills, a mini gas for portability, a full size smoker and and a regular size charcoal grill with fold over legs for portability. Oh, oh, oh, two weeks ago I got a stove top smoker.

When I was married, the X and I would get it going in the dead of winter back in WY, but Salt Lake gets inversions over the valley in the winter and they have "Red Burn" days and you can't have BBQs or fireplaces burning.

I'm pretty sure building codes here won't allow for a fireplace as a primary heating source. Even if not, you'd have to be insane to try it. This winter I saw news report about folks out east that get heating oil delivered to their houses. That would worry me. I just know an atrocious blizzard would hit a few days before my delivery date. I want my heat hard lined to my house.

Side note-My X is a coal miner in WY. I guess the law there still entitles him to a certain amount of coal monthly owed to him by his company. Of course, all the coal burning stoves have been changed out and the coal rooms are used for storage.

I feel for ya with the rain. A friend told me I should check out a job in Washington State. Then, he mentioned that it rains something like 250 days a year there. Faggit about it! Here, we freeze our water before dropping it from the sky.

Thumbs up

Ouch for so many games in one day.

We just got over Super Bowl Sunday, a notorious day for male over snacking in the U. S. Some amazing percentage of the avocados sold in the US are sold to make guacamole on that day.

Wish you luck - maybe lots of sparking water. Frozen grapes work for a great sweet taste and take a while to consume each one.

And good luck to England in today's match.

i managed to survive the superbowl fairly well as it was on at 11pm here. however 3 games back to back will take some doing to resist being bad, the trip to the gym has been abandoned due to rugby

The weekends have been pretty good for me. In the past I always had trouble sticking to any sort of plan on weekends but on this plan for the last month I have been able to avoid the cravings.

I have a hockey game to go see today, Calgary Flames Vs. Anaheim Ducks. I have been avoiding my usual few beers at the games this year and plan on continuing that trend.

Hey all just wanted to post that I started lifting weights again. I haven't lifted in years but it comes back pretty fast.

My brother-in-law Floyd was a champion body builder back in the 70's and I used to work out with him a lot back then and I was at my biggest and the best shape I had ever been back then. I wish I had never stopped lifting and exercising!.

A LOT of the guys at the gym took steroids back then, many were cops even. You could buy them anywhere back then they weren't even really considered illegal at least the authorites didn't go after it like they do now.

My BIL shot decca and test for 20 years and it gave him an enlarged heart and eventually killed him when he was 43, THANK GOD I didn't take it long term even though I did tried it ONCE and I didn't like it and I didn't like needles (you shoot it in your butt)

Anyways it feels good to be back in the weight lifting part of the gym.

I downloaded some heavy metal music (Pantera, Metallica, Powermad! LOL) and listen to it while I am working out and its wild how music can motivate you, when I listen to that kind of music (I don't normally my taste is pretty mellow acousticly) it makes me want to bend the barbell in half! LOL!

Makes me want to grunt a lot too! LOL!

just went down a pants size! LOL! I've been wearing sweat pants a lot lately (work for myself) and I didn't notice until I went to church last Sunday and I had to wear suspenders or my dang pants would fall off! LOL!

Luckily I have ALL of my smaller clothes (at least 4 different sizes as I got bigger!) I just have to go dig them out of storage!

Way to go FlatIron!!!

I've done the same thing with my old jeans. Now I'm packing away my bigger ones. But, 10 more lbs. and I have to go shopping. I simply refuse to accidentally "moon" the guys at work. I'll only do that if it's on purpose.
