Burlington has a 5K race on Thanksgiving that is also called the Turkey Trot, and my roommate (the marathon runner) sucked me into to running it... so count me in!

I've been training for the last two weeks, and tonight was the first time I was able to run the entire length of the course without stopping. Considering that a few months ago I couldn't run two blocks without being winded, I call that a big success! WOOHOOO!

so... *deep breaths* I signed up for a real 5k for Thanksgiving. When I used to run I could do them in under half an hour but I know it'll take me over 40 mins now and I was too embarrassed to do it in public... but.... here goes!!

Yay! I'm excited about tomorrow. That will be my first timed run, not counting glancing at the clock (with no second hand) on the way out.

I did mine tonight because my gym is closed tomorrow. I might try to do it again on Friday. 38 min 54 seconds. I improved my time!

Good luck to everyone who is doing it tomorrow and Friday. I hope you all do great!
