Smile General cravings!

So, last night I had a craving for egg salad. Seeing as how I was in Earthfare, I was sure they had egg salad on the bar or at least available for purchase prepacked or whatever. They didn't! I even went to two more places (Panara Bread & Naturals Cafe) to no avail. Eventually, I ended up eating something at home. But, of course this week I've got to make myself some egg salad!
This got me thinking, what sorts of things do you crave (cookies, cakes, and such goodies not withstanding)? I'm also thinking I might be craving egg because I didn't make my eggbeaters for breakfast on Sunday. Hmmm...

Oranges!! MMM!!

Latley I have been craving Mac and Cheese in the worst way and on Rachael Ray today she had a fake out Mac and Cheese with butternut squash mixed in the white sauce instead of cheese. Just putting the cheese on the top and I am for sure trying that this week!

Well, sugar-free/fat-free hot cocoa is okay to drink sometimes, and you can add a bit of fat-free whipped cream. So, you still can it, well sans a lot of whipped cream.

I wish I could say that I craved healthy stuff, but I don't usually. I might sometimes crave a salad becuase I really love salad, but most of the time my cravings are for comfort foods. Mac n cheese is a big one, soup, or dessert-y type foods, cookies, pie, cheesecake, etc. All mostly unhealthy stuff. But a true craving doesn't hit me very often either, thank goodness, becuase it would be torture trying to hold off on all those goodies

I've been having tons of cravings lately and it's driving me nuts. Pan fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, pecan pie, German chocolate cake...(well actually just the coconut pecan frosting), baby back pork ribs, potato salad, cheese filled manicotti....It sucks. I remain faithful to my body because I don't feel like re-losing the same five pounds over and over again. I want the next five pounds to come off my total, not a binge.
