Default Stupid Evil Tahini Sauce

So i was debating at work what i wanted to eat. I usually have a veggie sub from subway. There is a mediteranian place so i ordered a falafel sandwich. I figured it wouldnt be too bad in cals. WELL to my surprise i didnt realize how many calories tahini sauce really had in it. 200 CALS for 2tbs!!!! OMG. Lesson learned ladies if you dont know the calories before you eat it DONT! I have no idea how much sauce was on it but it was quite a bit. Im very upset cause i was doing very well. Sigh. Oh well i suppose i will just eat a little less for dinner and snack.

Just wanted you ladies to learn from my mistake. ALWAYS check before it enters the black hole of a mouth. Dont order it thinking you are going to be good.

Thanks for the heads up! I don't think I've ever had Tahini sauce, but at 100 Calories a Tablespoon it must taste GREAT! That's as much as pure butter!

Don't be so hard on yourself because you had two tablespoons of tahini. Yum! Sure the calories must be a shock, but the oils in tahini are good for you. Sesame seed oil contains antioxidants and olive oil is considered a good fat.

All nut/seed butters have around the same amount of calories and yes its healthy fat. Macadamia nut butter is an exception in that it is much higher in calories. Of course, I've had tahini sauce that isn't pure tahini so it may be watered down a bit with other stuff such as lemon juice.
